Sensei Alyssa is an amazing teacher, very patient and knowledgeable. She's very friendly and her classes are enjoyable and interesting. Her karate form is nearly immaculate and she knows how to best teach according to each student's needs. Sensei Allistair is also respectful and considerate, patient in his teaching, and is just a genuinely happy guy. I highly recommend going to this dojo if you're considering learning martial arts.

The new owner, Sensei Alissa, is an excellent and intuitive educator and very kind and patient. Red Dragon is a local franchise that organizes excellent opportunities to compete regularly and gain recognition for mastery. RDK forward stances are not traditional, but the weapons Katas are a blast. We love the large competitive events, shows, and graduations they host with thousands of people. There is no other dojo like this in the high desert. They also use sparing gear, which enables the kids to make safe, physical contact. Alister is an excellent and kind student teacher at RDK.

My daughter's special needs, and she decided to do karate just before covid-19 started here. She has loved it since she started, and it has taught her so much. She's come a long way, and the teachers are awesome, and they take the time to work with the students as long as the students do their part by practicing and working as well. Since they moved to the new location, space is better, parking is better, and everyone enjoys it. My daughter has been with Red Dragon Karate now going on 4 years

My son was turned away because the teacher couldn't handle working with his disability. The simple thing of turning him around so he wasn't facing the mirror could have done wonders. Instead, the instructor kept saying, "Don't you want to go with the other boys?" A 4 year old takes that as right now not, "Show me you can do what I want, and mom can sign you up." Still, 5 or so months later, my son will randomly say, "Dragon Karate made me cry." He was bawling after this experience. What the instructor didn't know was my sonnjad just started with another Dojo. He was only 2 classes into it. Months later, my son is doing amazing. Why, I took him to a place that understands his age and how to work with neurdivergent students.

To top that off 3 weeks after being turned away, I got a call asking if we are ready to join. I am still furious about the situation. A recent Facebook ad from them popped up on my feed. It made me realize that I never actually reviewed this place.

It is a nice-looking dojo, but we had a 100% AWFUL experience.

Shame on you, Red Dragon Karate.

Red Dragon Karate is a wonderful place for kids to learn Karate and life lessons. Sensei Matt is a wonderful person with understanding and patience. He takes the time to talk with the kids and makes sure they follow the RDK code of: Attitude- Brotherhood- Cooperation- Confidence- Discipline- Dedication and Respect, both in studio and at home. I appreciate Sensei Matt’s desire to develop his students into masters of their class. Great experience!

I have had my 16 year old in martial arts for many years and my young son in two dojos and I have to say I have never been to a dojo where the parents have no discipline and the sensei doesnt do anything about it. Martial arts are supposed to be about discipline but the classes are over corwded and the parents are crammed into a small space, they talk non stop in loud voices. The children can't even hear their instructors. When I asked the sensei's wife for the paperwork to disenroll my children because I couldn't take the chaos, as I left she was making rude faces to the other parents as to make fun of me. I felt humiliated. If you want a structured environment, don't go here.

Finally got to watch my grandson learn his karate, fantastic! The instructors were all great communicating what the students were to do. Loved it.
