I went to the bootcamp in the desert in 2000. Was on the 3rd bus to ridge view in Denver. I didn't beleave in the ppc part of the program. I didn't have a good time there. I also wasn't a snitch so I never moved up the levels. I stayed rookie my whole time the till 2002. I seen kids get messed up there. And I feel I have shoulder problems from the way the would restain kids the. The one in colorado got shut down due to how the messed up kids. Rug burns on faces. I hope they changed there ways. When the desert boot camp is open California kids couldn't go because they had a death out in the desert.

I was in ROP in 2007-2008 for about a year. The overall experience was horrible. The staff could basically do what they wanted to us, drugs and gangs were still a huge part, during my stay I witnessed 2 completely out of control riots, and overall they did very little to actually help kids from my opinion.

I went here as a S/A in 2008-2009. I was a troubled youth needing guidance. What was a scary experience turned into the best year of my life. The staff was fantastic and actually helped you and full of care, plus leaving trade skills and sports. What I was afraid of turned out to be one of the best years of my life. Here I am 13 years later and some of the active staff and former staff are some of my best friends and extended family that continue to reach out to this day.. This place truly changed my life. When I graduated the program, I said this on film and I'll say it again. This place is what you make of it, if you seek to help yourself, that change will happen. I wanted it to happen and I am forever grateful and will remember all the fun times I've had at this establishment.
Thank you so much Rite of Passage/Silver State Academy for life.

I was in the RTC years ago, I was beat multiple times by coach Demiterus out of Stockton Ca. I’ve watch kids get beat repeatedly from the coaches in r.o.p. I’ve suffered scars on my face from the special treatment staff. Parents don’t let your kids go here they abuse and threaten kids in this program. Absolutely disgusting how kids are treated

A very large company that does not Care about you or your kids. They do not take care of their employees and especially do not take care of their vendors.I would carefully read all reviews whether you want to place your child there or become an employee or a vendor.Make sure you read all reviews just not on Google. If a juvenile misbehaves and they do not want to deal with it they just call the Sheriff's Department and the poor kid goes to jail.I read reviews on other sites which I will post some other sites later when I get them all together.Their main concern is getting all the money from you and the government they can

This place is for adolescent's Who Have Lost Their Way In Living Life's On Life's Term's, Or Who Have Bad Copings Skills And Who Have. Been Raised With No Coping Skill's ETC. I Am Not sure Of The Age They need to be, But from what I've Seen They Seem To Be ALL Teenager's. I do know that They CAN be there until Their 18th. Birthday. And From There They Have an option to go to A Young Adult Program Which Helps them To graduate High School If They Have not finished It at "The Right of Passage" They Also Help Them in Learning How to get Their ID, A JOB, THEY HAVE APARTMENT'S & Teach them about paying Rent, Opening There Own BANK. ACCT. ETC... "THE RIGHT OF PASSAGE" STAFF IS AMAZING. THEY HAVE HELPED MY GRANDDAUGHTER IMMENSELY!!!
