Best school ever!! I cannot say enough about how amazing this school is. I absolutely love the staff and my daughter loves going to school. Nothing lights my heart up more than picking up my daughter from school and asking how her day was and her response was "today was wonderful". I hear the horror stories of the public school system and how the teachers don't care, or the curriculum is mediocre at best. My daughter was learning algebra in the first grade and comprehending it. They make learning so much fun with their hands on approach. The staff knows every child by name and it really is one big family community raising these children. I am so happy that I came across this school for my child. And my child loves learning because of these awesome teachers and staff.

Wow wow wow!! I was so impressed with this school. I scheduled a tour and was expecting a tour with the Principle. I was pleasantly surprised when the Principle handed us off to 2 students to give us a tour. These students were 4th graders, dressed in their school shirts. They had clipboards and a script they had written themselves. I was shocked and amazed! They weren't just reading something an adult had written but reading a script they had written with very lovely descriptions of each grade level, library, gym, nurses offfice, etc. They had confidence and poise. I loved that the school trusted them to led 2 adults around the school. How empowering for them and a great way to build leadership, confidence and skills at 4th grade!!
They each had siblings in different grades so they shared how much their siblings enjoyed their classes. We stopped in front of the Kindergarten hall and one pointed out her brother's report on Columbia. The wall was filled with other country reports from students in Kinder. I could not believe a Kinder student had done this level of work.
Absolutely impressed with this school!!
We were hoping to send our Pre-k student but was saddened to hear the School Board decided to take Pre-K out of school of choice recently. But either way, this school was TOP NOTCH!!

Mrs. Hickem is such an amazing Counselor. From the first meeting with her, you feel a sense of peace and a restoration of hope. She genuinely makes an investment in the well being of all students. Although it is a parent/counselor relationship, you walk away feeling as if you have visited with your best friend. A feeling that someone truly cares about your child.

Riverside Applied Learning Center is a hidden gem in Fort Worth ISD! My child has attended Alice Carlson and we left for a more genuine, authentic and diverse learning experience.. RALC DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It does not matter where you live they provide transportation from anywhere in the district! So there is NO excuse not to send your kids!

Tell all of your friends with elementary aged kids that this is the place to be!! The principal Mrs. Kennedy and Counselor Mrs. Hickem are a force to be reckoned with, they will move heaven and earth for their students and staff!

I do not regret brining my kiddos here and you will not either!

Son went here 2018/2019 We had Problems with the Staff, But nothing out of the Ordinary. My son was kicked out of a regular school for "Safety Reasons" Because he has Frequent Temper tantrums due to his Mental Disorder.

Riverside Applied Gave him his individulaity and Challenged him, Showed him new ways to Learn. Gave him a chance at Succeeding and was always aware of his Moods when He presented them early on.

They did an amazing job with my child. I would reccomend them 100 times over.

The teachers and Officr staff are amazing. But. This school likes to call CPS over every little thing.
