Was going to have my daughters attend their after school program but the very first day they forgot one of them at school, and the second day, when I picked them up, they were both in tears, they have never had that reaction at school or anywhere so that was a red flag. Today their school gave a flier telling us that people in the 95815 area code can get help with rent and groceries and other important things, one of the requirements is that the family must have a child between 0-5 years of age. My kids are 15, 8 and 6, there's never any help for people with children over 5 and that's because these organizations just want to make it look like they are helping the community. It's a joke.

Years ago, I was referred to this place because I have a son who was always getting into trouble in school. The Principal who referred him must've defamed us both, because when we showed up for our "interview" the male in charge was very shocked by how we presented. Even made a comment about how my son shouldn't be acting up in school when I drive a nice car!

He was very condenscending and made all sorts of misjudgments about my parenting skills and questioning my character and life decisions. I was appalled by his unprofessionalism and it definitely showed on my face. To which he responded, don't look at me like that. The nerve!

I have learned my lesson that day to never meet with any male who has such a low opinion of a certain group of women, ALONE, because he clearly didn't know me, but treated me as if he did and that he had the right to treat me with such vitriol.

My son turned out perfectly fine, is a good person, law abiding and helpful to others. Thanks to a much more positive influence that didn't come from his schools or a center that supposedly provides a safe space for inner-city children.

RFDC is the bomb. They have been my 3 kids' S.L.I.'s of and on for 3 years. During summer school doing Freedom School as well. They are always helping all of the kids with their classwork/housework so when they come home everyday when I go to check their homework it's already completed which makes my night better so thank you RFDC.
