This is a nice little state park in Nebraska. It has a decent trail with great views. It also has a nice playground. The river is closed by. They just built a natural pool from a nearby spring that contains fish; for a quarter one can feed the fish. It looks like a great place for a picnic as well.

Absolutely gorgeous place, came for my first time in a decade and had a wonderful experience. The ponds are becoming way more wheel chair accessible, the views are immaculate. Wonderful staff and a good price for a daily park pass. Thankyou for reliving my childhood

Great hiking trails and impressive small state park. Right beside Platte River which you can walk to. Has a climbing area which the kids really enjoy. Total trails cover 3 miles with fairly easy inclines, great for a morning hike. They were doing prescribed burning while we were there this time so some parts were a little smokey but should make for some beautiful forest habitat in the future. Our hiking group included three of us in our early 40's and three teens, everyone had an easy time on the trails completing it all in less than 2 hrs. Plenty of benches along the way if you need to rest. Really cool bike repair station at pond trailhead that includes tools and a bike pump. Only place to fill water bottles was the education center.

I went 4.13 miles, and it took me 1 hr 27 mins. I was on Hackberry Trail, Pond trail, and Riverview trail. All the trails were in pretty good shape. The riverview trail needed some mowing in some parts of it. There is a nice suspension bridge you go over and a couple of other bridges. There is construction going on over by the Gretna fish hatchery.

I like going to Schramm park for the trail. There is a suspension bridge and a few other scenic areas on it. The trail I prefer isn't difficult and is about two miles. I usually take my dog, as the trail is wide and there is plenty of room. The park itself is clean, well shaded with plenty of picnic tables, benches and a restroom. There are fish to feed and usually ducks or geese hanging around. Also, a little playground for kids. It's a good place to spend a few hours.

Very nice park for short or long hike. Fish hatchery is pretty amazing and at the cost of $6 per car is a very fair price to go out and enjoy. There was some other camp sites that seemed to not be taken care of which if the park is to attract people should clean the tall weeds up. The river is just across the road and you can rent a kayak at Louisville for $30 or so.
Fun place!!
Outside that, highly recommend

The trails were awesome. The main trails were wider, either packed dirt or gravel. There are hills and tree roots so the terrain varies. Lots of shade. The fish hatchery museum was not open but the area around it was interesting to look at. The geological site was pretty neat, too. Will definitely plan to visit again.

This is a good place for a nice, easy hike. The trails are wide enough to hike comfortably, and a typical hike will be between 2 and 3 miles long. I would recommend this for those seeking a quick exercise through the woods. The hatchery is also very scenic and a great photo op.
