My daughter had speech delay issue, I mentioned that to her pediatrician on her 2-year-old check up. Regional Center referred us to Search Edu. Edith was my daughter’s teacher. She is the best speech therapist, super nice, patience and professional.

I took her to park almost everyday, story times in library every week, indoor playground once in a while, travel to east coast and oversea, etc. I tried my best, but she just won’t talk, until we met Edith. She not only worked with my daughter also been very helpful coaching me working with my daughter by various techniques. My daughter was so happy to see her every week.

We moved recently, new address was too far away from their office, a different regional center took over our case. We only had 8 months service with them, but I do see my daughter had amazing progress. I am very grateful for her support.

I am a new parent and my son is currently enrolled in SEARCH Edu. Children Services Adaptive Skill services. Ms. Edith started working with my son since he was little and she has been my son’s favorite early interventionist ever since. She is also the most caring and experienced early
intervention specialist I have ever met.

As a new immigrant with a child with special needs
and English is not my first language, there are many challenging tasks. Whenever I encountered difficulties or ran out of ideas for my son’s active behavior, I have asked for help from Ms. Edith. She has always been there listening to what I had to say, and given me the support I needed. She seems to see everything about my relationship with my child as she pays close attention to our interaction.

Her support is dynamic and so useful to help me improve not only my parenting skills, but also enhances my ability to motivate my son’s engagement and communication. You know sometimes a stranger come into your life and they change it for the better? Ms. Edith is that angel for our family.

She has been our little girl’s teacher/therapist in the early child intervention program with our regional center. Our little girl has since aged out of that program, but we continue to see Ms. Edith in her Claremont office. We make the drive from San Gabriel to Claremont every week to see Ms. Edith and let me tell you why. For five years since the pediatrician first caught my daughter’s developmental delays, many therapists have come and gone, and Ms. Edith is hands down one of the most caring therapists my child has ever had. Ms. Edith’s attention to my daughter’s needs, keen observations of her age-appropriate capabilities, and wealth of child-development knowledge set her apart. Ms. Edith knows when and where to push her to do better, when to change course if something isn’t working. While play-based, every session is meticulously tailored to address the goals she has set for my daughter. Most importantly, my daughter LOVES her time with Ms. Edith. She is always eager to go to her sessions; the few times I don’t have to coerce her into getting into the car.

Not only does she work tirelessly with my daughter, Ms. Edith constantly communicates with us parents on her progress, how we can collaborate our efforts to help her improve, and provides suggestions on what we can do at home.

Ms. Edith, if you are reading this, we’d like to thank you for everything you have done. Our little girl would not be at her current developmental level without your intervention. We can never thank you enough.
