I did a lot of research before I selected Nelson Nio's Shield Women's Self Defense 1-day course for me and my 15-year-old daughter. It was not the cheapest, but I could tell from his website that he was one of the best. I originally was concerned about equipping my daughter before she left for college, but good timing for me too, as I am starting a season of business travel. I come from a corporate training background myself and I can say as a connoisseur that this was one of the best trainings that I have attended over the course of 20+ years and well worth the price. Nelson is a true expert and also a gifted teacher. A self-defense class must be taken BEFORE you need it and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nelson if you can afford him. We plan to return for a refresher next year. Be prepared for a very physically active day!
