This is an excellent school for our son who has Autism. In as few as 2 weeks our son's meltdowns have declined significantly! They are consistent with rules, compassionate and always have fun planned outings and activities. My son loves going to school and is trying hard to have good days!! 😊

I'm autistic and I used to go there when I was in middle/junior high (I was a student). We had fun outings occasionally, and it's clear that they (perhaps) want to help disabled people, but looking at their website, I couldn't help but notice that they're supporting Autism Speaks. I don't know if they realized this, but Autism Speaks is not a good organization. They are ableist, they misrepresent autistic people and are trying to search for a cure for autism. My family would support them, and I didn't know about the controversy surrounding Autism Speaks until doing a bit more research over the past several months. There's an organization called ASAN (Autism Self Advocacy Network), and they are an even better organization. I strongly encourage you all to look it up. Now I don't think Sierra Foothills Academy in general is terrible, but I do also want to strongly encourage them to support ASAN as well.
