SOCAPA VT was *brilliant* - the staff were super friendly, really responsive, thoughtful and helpful. Our daughter had a fantastic time doing the screenwriting program - she learned so much and made some wonderful friends. Her main screen writing teacher was super inspiring and has been something of a mentor for her since. We could not recommend it more highly!

My 16 year old son did a three week Socapa film camp in Burlington and had such a great experience. Not only did it give him an idea of what living on a college campus will be like, he also learned so much about filmmaking and his time at camp further fueled his passion. Burlington is a fun and busy town in beautiful Vermont and he loved exploring the area. He also made great friends and they plan on attending SOCAPA in Los Angeles this summer!

I had a single dorm at Socapa taking the acting course. Everything about the camp was great. Good social life, good schedule, and, to be honest, everything was what I expected and more. I would definitely come again.

My son has completed 2 years of the 2-week film making camp in Burlington, VT and will be attending the 3-week advanced film in Manhattan this coming summer. It is very well organized and has made him more passionate about digital film, significantly advanced his skills, and helped him socially through a summer camp experience that is right up his alley. We had one minor glitch last summer and my husband and I were blown away at how quickly and effectively SOCAPA administration handled it. Fantastic camp!

Our son attended SOCAPA in VT in 2023. He left for camp with an interest in film and returned with focus and passion. His time at SOCAPA has shaped his life and helped to solidify his self-awareness as a budding artist. Since his time at camp, he has taken the online Screenwriting Course and continued to hone his talent. Our daughter has attended SOCAPA acting camp for the past two summers in Vermont. The first year was such an amazing experience for her she couldn’t wait to return the second summer. The staff at SOCAPA are dedicated and truly supportive. SOCAPA inspired our daughter, improved her confidence, and gave her the opportunity to make lasting friendships. This summer she will return to SOCAPA once again but will be attending the NYC campus with friends that she has made over the past two years. Thank you SOCAPA for this exceptional program!

Excellent program that my daughter really enjoyed... she did the 3 week basic photography. There weren't as many photography kids - a lot of the kids did film. But it was very well organized, and she really liked being able to travel around for different photo shoots during the day with the group (and explore Vermont a bit) and also the ability to go to the small and easy-to-navigate downtown area to hang out with her friends in the evenings/weekends. The balance of organized activities and freedom to explore in a safe area was excellent, and she really enjoyed all of the people. She got a lot of good photography exposure in addition to just enjoying the whole experience.

My son just signed up for his second summer at SOCAPA VT for core music. He had such an amazing experience last summer honing his songwriting skills, meeting other like-minded kids and helping to make a music video. His teachers were knowledgeable, creative and inspiring. Highly recommend and looking forward to the performance showcase!
