I was eager to attain my OA permit and was trying to figure out where to go. I was skimming through the list of board approved courses, and I was having no luck. A lot of the places listed stopped providing the course, so I tried one last place before calling a quits, and lo and behold, I found Southern California Orthodontic Assisting School! I registered in October and started in December (2024).
The program is pretty accelerated, so you’ll be done in no time at all. Sage really knows everything about ortho and is very thorough in the way she explains everything. She and her assistant, Crystal, really help you get prepared so you’re ready for the board exam. Even though I do have ortho experience in the past, this course definitely refreshed my memory and also taught me a few new things along the way. I was thrilled that they had various financing options, because money is super tight! Luckily, it didn’t stop me from attaining my permit. Long story long, I highly recommend coming to this school to better yourself in your career. SoCal Ortho offers other courses, as well, like CPR, infection control, etc.

For a long time, I had been looking for classes to obtain my Orthodontic Assistant license, and I believe this is the best place I have found—Souther California Orthodontic Assistant School It has provided me with a great deal of knowledge about orthodontics, which, I emphasize, makes it a great place to learn. I am so happy I had the chance to take this program I really enjoyed and learned a lot it was very helpful the instructor was so nice and always so energetic keeping all class motivated and exhausting to continue learning. I enjoy Avery single day I went to take the class, there was much information tu learn everyday + we were able to practice all ortho procedures. I am so happy I took this course I definitely recommend to all the assistants to take the steps forward, for a better orthopedic assessment job opportunities.

What a great experience! I enjoyed the entire course and looked forward to each session. The Instructor was so informative and really easy to understand. The Instructor simplified concepts, insured all her students felt comfortable before moving forward and would individually check your progress and provide assistance. I was surprised how smooth the course ran and it was an overall great experience! While being 8 months pregnant I found this course to be manageable because everyone was so great. Thanks again!

I first came to so cal ortho assisting because I needed to renew a required 8 hour infection control course. I was already working in the dental field and I wanted to find somewhere that would first work with my schedule and second be close by. With just the two of my needs met, I didn’t expect anything much further than that but to my pleasant surprise, Sage and her staff provide such an outstanding facility and great support, that when I decided to go for my Ortho Assisting license, I knew that So Cal Ortho was the right choice. Sage and her staff go above and beyond in making sure that we understood the materials taught and that we were well taken care of after the learning modules were done. I’ll be returning in the future to take advantage of the resources they provide for past alumni. They are amazing!
