I just want everyome not to waste their time with this school I called in and asked if they took financial aid they said “yes” i drove 40 mins just to find out their “financial aid” was 20% off the welding class. I was like okay fine I paid $880 out of pocket in full amount that day only to get there on monday to this unprofessional school ever! To start off the teacher was late! Didnt greet us didnt let us know where to sit we just wondered inside the warehouse and found some seats only to be left there in silence for 30mins! Then he came back and told us we were in the wrong class! Even though the paper said 315! We left to the “correct” room only to be left again for three hours and said “i dont know where your teachers at but ill put a video on the mean time” never came back other to tell us to go on a 20min break. No one was there to give us an introduction then one his own students came and said “hey if you guys need a list of thinga you guys need for this class ill make one because this teacher is lazy and wont even try to teach you guys i had to learn from the students above me because he didnt teach me nothing” and to top that i could only get a refund if I DIDNT GO THE SECOND DAY!! So you guys tell me what kind of first day is that now i have to wait 30days to get my money back because this school did not follow its promises and ive been trying to get a hold of the administrator and no luck and its been 3weeks . My name is DESTENE LAGUNA .

Automotive teacher will make fun of you behind your back. welding teacher does not teach and just yells and expects the students to get better without getting taught.

I'm really pleased with the welding instructor at SCROC. Miss ortiz goes out of her way to teach us and prepare us for all the things we need to know about welding and welding terminology. She's very good and knowledgeable for all the types of welding.

Administration does not care about students or teaching, if you need help to switch class or have an instructor that is not teaching the material they WILL NOT help you. All they want is for you to pay, then they'll forget about you. I wish I could go back in time and choose a different school. Do yourself a favor and find literally any other school.

Well I'd like to leave this review sorta short.
I attended the Automotive class at Scroc, which I finished and got a dream job as a mechanic.

Classes were affordable and got a decent training for what I paid for. Mr Lee is an awesome teacher. He does everything in his power to help you learn. Which I'd give 5 stars for! Made great friends there and lifetime memories.

I was thinking to improve my skills taking a Welding class (to be able to fabricate at my shop and being able to do versatile projects.)
The welding teacher the school used to have previously I heard was great but he left. Since school couldn't find an instructor, they called a retired teacher back. The way he teaches is outdated, explanations aren't clear to learn. He was mostly on his computer and we used the equipment to learn nothing else.

I had "younger" students coming up to me in the parking lot asking if they should drop the class, and what do I suggest... if I dared to question the teacher he told me that; He knows his students and pretty much indicated that I'm not willing to learn. Seriously?

After 5 weeks I dropped the class because it felt like a waste of time. Refund policy is only 1day!! So be aware, no partial refunds! Which I could've used to buy a welder and learn myself. Eventually I will learn at work...
Not to mention some of the welding booths the table rattles because of the fan.

Automotive class 5 star
Welding class 1 star. I hope they will change the refund policy for student. But I think of my money as donation to the school. It's more like my free time was wasted, I could've worked instead. But he know us the students. Sure.

School contacted me and offer a solution I just don't have time to go back and take classes. Thank you so much Scroc! I changed it to 5 stars. I just leave this as a story here.

The general unprofessionalism from the administration and the staff left me nothing but frustration and a refund. I was enrolled in a Veterinary Assistant program just to have my instructor “disappear” after the first day with no follow up or any information on her well being. The most information I received was hearing the course was cancelled after asking the faculty NUMEROUS times over the course of three weeks. Never once did they think to communicate to the STUDENTS who willingly signed up and PAID for the program.
