This school is an absolute joke. Do not waste your time here. You have been warned.

Southern New Hampshire University is forcing me to pay twice for the same course after I filed a dispute and had to drop a class due to an instructors incompetence, mistreatment, and retaliation. Now you will lose out on $20,000 because I will be pursuing my MBA elsewhere.

My advisor stated in writing that I would be able to get a refund based on the outcome of the dispute. I have emailed the Office of Student Finance 4 different times and they are refusing to cooperate. I will be filing formal complaints with the States Attorney General Office, State Education Agency, U.S Department of Education, Better Business Bureau, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, as well as the agency that accredited this school. I will also be disputing the credit card charge since the course was misrepresented. Nowhere in the online course description, did it say I would need to have private scheduled meetings to receive feedback from the instructor.

The school is extorting me into paying twice for a class in order to receive my diploma, despite me receiving an inadequate and misrepresented experience the first time from an instructor who refused to provide written feedback in an online course. After emailing the instructor and asking for clarification, he retaliated and gave me even lower grades. Multiple students are having problems with this instructor, yet SNHU is clearly protecting him to avoid liability.

After taking the course with a new instructor who did not pose any issue, it only further backed up my dispute claim about the original instructor. Multiple students have complained about the same exact issues with the same instructor. SNHU should do the right thing instead of protecting bad actors.

The pros: Online learning is convenient. Financial aid department is helpful. Undergrad classes were interesting and most instructors were good, a couple were great. My undergrad advisor was a real gem.
The cons: Grad programs mimic undergrad in "milestone" format, which is annoying at this level. Some grad instructors are REALLY bad. Totally disengaged and take forever to grade. Instructions are vague and there are no positive remarks. Some definitely have a high opinion of themselves and are no help whatsoever. Requirements for classes are very inconsistent and confusing. Books purchased for classes are unnecessary, as you basically never use them for reference.
The takeaway: While I'm glad that I could obtain my grad degree online, I feel I would have received a better education elsewhere. SNHU is a very convenient and affordable school but the repetitive classes and some terrible instructors ruined it for me.

Absolutely enjoyed my experience at SNHU! From registration to graduation, the process was easy, affordable and quick. Registration pulled my transcripts from previous school, tuition was explained every step of the way, and graduation process was easy and cost me nothing! Cap n gown and even up to 5 copies of transcript per order for free! Courses were taught by knowledgeable, professional and approachable staff. I only wish they had a campus close to me so I could have enjoyed the full student experience from this great university. Highly recommend. I am starting my Masters Program this Spring!

An affordable and very convenient way for busy busy full time working students. My advisors were always present and answered any questions in a timely manner. I had a great experience. Did I love every class? no, but that was because statistics and me do not get along. I still managed a great grade because my instructors were very approachable and answered my questions and concerns immediately.

🚨🚨DO NOT GO HERE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, DO NOT WASTE FAFSA FUNDS. Anyone considering this university, please do not give it more than two thoughts. GO ELSEWHERE 🆘. A terrible experience for my wife with financial aid They love sending things to collections. I would look over her work when she attended, total joke of a school with minimal academic rigor. Frankly the Education Department (before they’re shut down) needs to investigate this institution.

Their financial aid team is horrible. The first time I signed up for them I got hounded with general spam calls and emails but never a human. And then the second time (after I blocked them as spam the first time around because it was insane) after digging to hear they're one of the cheapest online schools.. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and financial aid has not been packaging my loans. I put forth all this effort to get there I am now with them, with nothing to show. I'm now pushed out a start date for a second time because all I hear is "3-5 days" for 2 months. Their communication is awful. You'll get different answers from everyone. Getting enrolled in this school has been an absolute nightmare, I cannot even begin to imagine how horrendous it would be to stay at. Go to a quality school, folks! This is not it.

I was a full-time online student receiving my BA in psychology at SNHU. My overall experience went well. My advisor was helpful and proactive in addressing any challenges that needed to be addressed. As a student, you must work hard and devote time to programs. One thing that could be improved is your studies to get through the tutoring and professors' responses to assignment questions and concerns. With that being said, I recommend SNHU to anyone. I hope these minor adjustments can be made.

It is affordable, and the courses that are offered there are high-quality. The staff members there are very respectful, willing to help you, and super friendly.
