I saw one myself waiting for me to arrive like a duel of wits. . The boys were constantly taunted. Evil spirits own the place and not afraid to own the ranch. There’s an evil spirit room no one went inside except me went in. I was fired & I’ve been attacked myself.

It is a horrible place the only good thing about it was that it had horses. I was there for 2 years and I was constantly threatened by some of the staff and all of the directors. They say you can get through this in 9 months, no way the staff makes it impossible,they have this thing called a dockage and you lose point and it's just a bunch of bs. When I was there I was constantly overwhelmed and scared half the time. The directors would tell me if I don't behave they would send my to Wilderness which is a place where they send u on a journey in the wild with only and can of beans and they basically starve u for 6 months. At storm ridge you barely get to go outside and play u can't talk to people outside your groups. When u first get there they take away your clothes and stuff that makes u comfortable so basically your life they do a whole strip down and a man has to basically to it with 3 people watching so it's very uncomfortable and scary. When I first got there I was 11 and these transporters took me and tied my hands together with zip ties. There extremely racist they they have no fellings whatsoever they screem at you of you do one thing wrong,they charge you for unnecessary reasons,if you dont be have up to their standard which is a very high stand they will drop you down oj the floor pull your wrist back and screem ib your ears and say "are u done are you done" repeatedly until your numb and bruised. I wouldnt send my kid here unless you want them to mentally and physically traumatized. DONT SEND YOUR KID TO SRR/SRS IT IS NOT WORTH IT THEY ARE ABUSIVE!!!! (wish I could give it 0 stars)hope it help you make the right decision about this place! Recommend other places other then SRS/ aka "The Larsons Place of Hell"

I was a resident at storm ridge ranch for 3 years most of my time there was very hard for me I went in a stage of depression and all they would do is put me on medication so I would be drowsy all day and not have energy to do anything that was considered bad which everything we did their was a strict schedule we had to follow. This all happen after I started leveling up in the program because I have been there almost 2 years and they barely pay any attention to me and my phone calls were once a week with my mom who spoke spanish depending on our so called level stage in the program. Then I was very close to graduating and they accussed me for bad behavior blamed me for other stuff I never did just so they could level drop me .they made my parents give me 1 and half year extention because of this incident. Mind you at the time I was getting ready to graduate and did my levels a girl had just returned to the program and she had graduated already so basically after that they were on everyone toes becuase it was like a slap in the face that their so called best girls were actually faking the program !!!! Eventually I left the place but on baad term becuase after that incident I was never the same in the program they tore me down after everything I worked for they barely pay attention until I'm getting ready to go home they want to make excuses for the government and my mom to agree which they manipulated her into confirming my extention there so they could keep getting money. These so called directors of storm ridge ranch picked and choose what girls stay there long because their parents can pay or the government or maybe like because my mom only spoke Spanish she never could really talk to them so that's why my stay there was really just passing time. And their favorite girls always graduate and if their mom is on top of them making sure their money is being used wise if their paying out of pocket those direction are khan artist they know how to make shit look good💯💯💯🫰🏻 but because the directors are so stupid on who's actually faking their program they get sent back.😭🙄 I'm back in California struggling my ass off becuase this program left me traumatized and with no help becuase they really don't help until it's too late . They have us so delusional there that when we come to the real world we see how it really is and how kinda stupid that ranch makes us look but don't get me wrong the place has its good and it's bad so don't think it's he'll becuase it does have a good side to it at least you have a bed big meals everyday and your not living in the ghetto . This place taught me good and bad.

I'll be straight forward with you. This place is definitely not meant for the weak hearted. This program helped me understand so many things that my parents could not. This is a life changing program that is not just something that is easily forgotten.

Without this place, it is lowkey scary to think of where I would be. Now living my life not being there and having that structure, I feel lost in a sense, just because I had to remember that I was the one who went to the program not my parents.

All of the staff are supportive in one way or another and they all have different personalities which is beneficial in terms of learning how to communicate. This program definitely has it's ups and downs but then again that is just life. At the end of the day all of the staff are human and they make mistakes that even themselves have to admit to.

I graduated the program but for a hot minute it did not seem like I would. This place is my second family forever. I have learned to move on to a different chapter of my life, but it was bitter more than sweet.

If your child really needs help, this is the best program in the state of Utah possible. I would have not recommended anywhere else because this program makes a life changing impact if both you and your child allows it too.

I went there from 2016-2018 don’t send ur kids here it us a hell hole sweat shop and a terrible excuse for education multiple children had broken wrists I had to do the book club packets(mandatory work packets when ur in trouble) for a child who had 2 broken wrists at the time from a restraint he was 12 and staff are bullies management is fake forced to drive “happy letters” it was not a place for any child ntm the case where the whole facility got food poisoning from pulled pork ik u see this Kevin n Darren don’t delete it

I'm Caleb Fields. I'm a professional rapper who spent 15 months in this program from June 2020 through November 2021. I spent 7 months on level 4 and double graduated the program and school.

I'm sure SRS is a lot different now than when I was there but I still need to get my story off of my chest. I see a lot of comments saying "if you would have done the program and worked on yourself it would've been better." I did the program and 3 years later I'm still dealing with all of the lasting trauma that this place caused.

On June 3, 2020, two men came into my house at 3:00 in the morning and dragged me out of my bed and into the back of their unmarked car. We drove for two hours before I finally asked what was going on. They told me they were taking me to my new school and I would be there for a month or two. (This was at the beginning of covid when all schools were shut down)

After a 7 hour drive, we arrived to my new home in rural Utah: Storm Ridge Ranch. The first thing that happened there was they took my clothes and all of my belongings and told me that I would get them back when I hit level one. I wasn't allowed to go outside or do anything I wanted to do for the most part.

Fast forward about two weeks, some people I knew were planning on breaking out (of a "school") and a few of us got looped in. They put 6 of us on "run watch" which means they took our shoes, made us wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt, sleep in the hallway, and we lost all of our freedom to do anything. We had to sit and do nothing except eat and read for 3 months (88 days straight) During this time staff would use their power to basically bully kids into doing what they said. Although they were scared of the rougher kids and never put their hands on us cause they knew we'd take them out. They created a culture that was similar to what's found in actual jail all the while telling our parents something completely different.

After this 3 month period, I soared through the program and excelled in every aspect. Despite that, it was still a labor camp by all definitions, and I still have lasting trauma from this place.

Don't get me wrong, there were good people at this program. When done right, this could have been a great tool for kids who never had a father figure (like me) but it just wasn't done right

After I got out, I was diagnosed with PTSD and major depressive disorder which 100% stems from Storm Ridge. It took years for people to believe what I was saying about this place. It wasn't until that documentary came out on Netflix that I've really been able to be open and honest about it. Parents, plz don't send your kids here my mom tells me she regrets it all the time. I've made it one of my life goals to get this and places like it shut down for good.

I wish I could put 0 stars. This is coming from a PARENT of one of the girls. Nothing that they say is true on the ads. We parents are paying thousands of dollars for unlicensed staff and our girls doing hard labor to benefit the owner, MaryAnne. Please please please do your research and choose elsewhere.

They weren't allowed sing, dance, draw. If they cried they got in trouble and the therapist would be rude and yell at them or tell the owners about our feelings and they would be reprimanded.

My daughter has been going through therapy for the last year to deal with the trauma she had to endure there. I'm begging you, listen to your children. If they need self-esteem help like my daughter did - this is the absolute worst place to send them. My daughter expressed herself through drawing. This was taken from her for the 2 years she was at this place. They basically muted her talents.

These children are being used as work horses by the new owners.

I'd like to add that she did graduate the program within 2 years... and after we immediately took her to therapy to deal with the trauma. I hope the state investigates this business and the people working there. She has kept in contact with some of the workers but the owners and psychiatrist are the worst of the people she speaks about.

There are so many more options. If you love your child, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE.

Do not send you kids here! They are manipulative, abusive, and medicate incorrectly. Years later and I still have unresolved trauma even with getting my life back together. This place isn’t what you think it is and causes more harm than good. Just work with your child, get them in therapy, love them, learn about adolescents! Stay away from here. Save the thousands of dollars that will cause psychological distress. The girls part is horrible. I remember when I finally was leaving girls could no longer wear leggings because it made male staff “uncomfortable” I mean that sounds like…. Just don’t! Even the 2 good staff workers don’t work here anymore because the corruption. Even after girls left they would stock them on social media and laugh (owners and daughters). If that doesn’t get you to rethink I don’t know what to tell you.
