Life-Changing Experience at Summit Malibu
Summit Malibu truly saved my life. From the moment I arrived, I was met with compassion, professionalism, and a level of care that exceeded all expectations. The medical and mental health team is second to none—they took the time to understand my needs, provided individualized treatment, and supported me every step of the way. Whether it was therapy, medical care, or holistic treatments, every aspect of my recovery was thoughtfully planned and executed.
The accommodations are absolutely beautiful, providing a peaceful and serene environment perfect for healing. Unlike other treatment centers, Summit Malibu feels like a home rather than a facility. The staff treated me like family, offering unwavering support, encouragement, and genuine care that made all the difference in my recovery.
Even after leaving, Summit Malibu continues to be a vital part of my life. I’m invited back every month for alumni nights, where I reconnect with others who have walked a similar path. Their commitment to long-term recovery and community is truly remarkable.
I can confidently say that I would not be where I am today without Summit Malibu. If you or a loved one is seeking help, this is the place that will not only change your life—but save it.

I can’t say enough good things about Summit Malibu. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for by every member of the staff. Kam, in particular, has one of the biggest, warmest hearts. She is so patient, loving, and truly dedicated to helping others heal. The quality of service here is top-notch, with therapists and facilitators who are seriously vetted and deeply invested in each client’s recovery. I’m forever grateful.

I want to express my deep frustration with the negative comments directed at the Facility that were crucial to my recovery journey. Summit Malibu is an exceptional rehab facility, and my experience there stands out more than other places I’ve visited in the Malibu area. The medical team is highly skilled and genuinely trustworthy, which made all the difference for me. I am incredibly grateful for the invaluable support I received; it has empowered me to embark on this transformative path of recovery. Thank you for everything you have done—I truly appreciate it.

Every single person I was in treatment with has relapsed. EVERY SINGLE ONE (15+ people). I was there for two months- I did not relapse because I left (AMA apparently) and went to a great sober living. As far as treatment goes- this is a terrible place. There are so many better options in Malibu. Had I listened to the people who work here, I would have relapsed and been back there for treatment for them to take my money. The real scheme is they want you to return and be a repeat customer. The chef and housekeeper are wonderful. Actual staff- admin, therapy, garbage. Also, they are not so honest about all their services. FYI, if you want to keep going back to rehab, there are far better places with nicer amenities. So I really cannot recommend coming here for any reason!

Horrible what happened to Emily Willis! She should have been taken to a hospital right away. She probably should have been checked into a hospital before even going to Summit. Why didn’t Summit recognize her need for medical care even before allowing her to stay - and especially when she was in dire need of medical care days later? Scary and awful.

Summit is a place that can provide high level care for clients that need extra help. They can accommodate dietary restrictions and give extra care to those who have special medical needs. In an industry that can be so grimy they have a very solid team that cares. The team of nurses Brooke, Ashley, and Alejandra are amazing. All the techs are friendly and Kelly will create an exit plan that’s good for you. I would send somebody that I love to summit if they needed help.

I arrived at Summit Malibu at a very low point in my life. I was struggling with addiction and I didn't know where to turn. I was hopeless and I didn't think I could ever get better. But Summit Malibu changed my life.
The staff at Summit Malibu is incredibly dedicated and compassionate. They truly care about helping their clients get better. They helped me to understand my addiction and to develop the tools that I need to stay sober. They also helped me to address the underlying issues that were contributing to my addiction.
I am so grateful for the help that I received at Summit Malibu. I am now sober and I am living a happy and fulfilling life. I would recommend Summit Malibu to anyone who is struggling with addiction. It is a truly life-changing place."
Here are some of the specific things that I appreciated about Summit Malibu:
The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. They had a deep understanding of addiction and they were able to provide me with the help that I needed.
The treatment program was comprehensive. It addressed all of the different aspects of my addiction, including the physical, emotional, and spiritual.
The environment was supportive and nurturing. I felt safe and comfortable at Summit Malibu.
I made lifelong friends at Summit Malibu. We supported each other through the tough times and we celebrated our successes together.
If you are struggling with addiction, I urge you to reach out to Summit Malibu. It is a place where you can get the help that you need to get better. You don't have to go through this alone.

Summit is truly at another level among treatment centers. I help people find their way to sobriety and Summit is really the only place I know that actually meets a client where they are at. It’s not about 12 step or non 12 step. It’s about meeting that person where they are at, when they arrive. Then going forward with the best therapy/treatment that is specific for them. From the ownership right down to the tech staff, they really do care. Summit is a very special place. The owner is always available for a call and even a ride from the airport if necessary. Yes there are people that will find fault with every treatment center out there, but I can honesty say that when Summit, for whatever reason doesn’t measure up on a certain topic, or moment ,they have always been quick to acknowledge it and fix it so its right for the client. If you want to truly become emotionally and physically sober, Summit will walk with you.
