Been learning here for ~10 years, and I've learned so much over the years. Great place to learn about Chinese culture, along with valuable life lessons. The teachers are great, and the lessons are always engaging and memorable. The curriculum for AP Chinese is super effective, and teaches all that you need to know and more.

I thought the AP course was really helpful. The teacher was kind and seemed really interested in making sure we learned how to do well on the AP. The entire course was really useful and none of the stuff learned went to waste. The teacher is pretty flexible with how much of the homework you get done while still making sure you are actually learning. I went into the class with minimal speaking and reading skills with no understanding of writing or Chinese culture whatsoever, but I was able to still able to catch up and become proficient at all facets tested on the AP. She understands that we are still people with other extracurriculars and that all of us struggle with different aspects of Chinese. Overall, I enjoyed her class and she would also impart life advice on us from time to time, which was a good bonus. 😀

I went here for less that 6 months but I came out with a newfound appreciation and love for Chinese culture! The class was very enjoyable, engaging and welcoming. Definitely prepared me enough to confidently take the AP, I can't thank this school enough for that.

Deserves 5 stars 100% This place is an extremely good place to learn chinese. I quit chinese after the second grade for several years, and came back to chinese in seventh grade here. I learned enough in 2-3 years that taking the AP test this year felt easy. The classes are fun as well, it doesn't bore you out of your mind, instead there is a lot of stories told that makes the classes memorable. The morning of the AP test a few days ago, me and some other students even laughed over these stories that we remembered. This place teaches you extremely well, prepares you enough to get a good score, and is fun in general.

The whole system of this place is nice. It's a class once a week, and the teachers are so much better than any other Chinese programs I know of. (I have been to Sunflower and Morningstar) The teachers actually have a sense of humor and won't scream at you for doing something wrong. The teachers all are very experienced in what they are teaching, the head teacher Ms. Dai has been teaching for 20+ years. I came from a program that hated Chinese in all forms, trying to quit it ASAP. But I never felt the same way about this program, as it has actually gotten me to improve over time.

As we all know, the main end of this program is the Chinese AP. The teacher makes you grind problems every week starting from easy, to hard. Truly a great way the prepare for one's AP. If you want your kid to not hate Chinese, to enjoy and improve in Chinese. Sunshine learning center is for you!

Since the 6th grade, I've been learning Chinese at Sunshine Learning Center! It has been an absolute blast, and they've helped me prepare for my AP Chinese Test! Not only are the classes engaging, they've also taught me countless things about Chinese culture! Thank you, Sunshine Learning Center, I'm leaving behind countless memories! There have been ups and downs, but it's been a fun journey.

We feel so lucky that we chose Sunshine Chinese learning for our kids's Chinese preparation, including both general learning and the AP tests. Dai Laoshi is not only knowledgable on this subject, but also a very patient and caring teacher. She give accurate estimation on how well our kids' Chinese level and can identify the weak areas quickly so that they can spend more time to improve those, especially for the high schooler who does not have lots of extra time. He is very happy with a AP test of 5! Our little one who is at K did not like to speak Chinese at home, after attending the weekly class, he not only like to speak, but can start to write. really happy about it!

Since 6th grade, I've been learning Chinese here. They teach not only how to speak, read, and write Chinese in a fun way, but also emphasize Chinese culture through various readings, legends, and personal stories. Their teachers are really knowledgeable and caring, and also completely prepare you (if not overprep) you to take the AP Chinese exam by 9th grade. This really is an amazing school!
