After significant issues with the Sylvan program and continued failing math grades, I pulled my child from the program. I paid in advance for the program, did my due diligence to intercede on the behalf of my child to ensure their success when they felt frustrated with the program being too easy, and then again when they felt the tutoring was not being implemented at all.

After this recent progress report, I was ensured he would be working on tutoring activities instead of only homework (without assistance), and that still did not happen.

The adults here are very nice, but this program seems without purpose. We got conflicting information regarding initial testing that was suppose to be for the first week or so, that lasted over a month, then issues with the curriculum being significantly too easy. I asked for a refund for unused time because of what a waste of investment it's been since December. $3000 completely wasted, and I paid in advance with the Black Friday discount. That is way too much money to get zero return in any form. But because they give no refunds for any reason, I will get nothing prorated. My contract was set to end at the end of May.

There are disruptive children who attend here as well, as I have sat inside and listened to instructors who have to control unruly children.

This program seems more geared towards students who are homeschooling or are in elementary school. I really do not recommend this program for middle and high school students.

Sylvan has helped my son tremendously. Hes been going for only about two months and I already see major growth. The team here is wonderful and I haven’t had any issues. Highly recommend!

So far Sylvan has helped set my scholar on the path to success. I can’t wait to see the results of her first progress report. Her instructor Debbie is always so nice and helpful. Anastasia has been great to work with and has helped me as a parent navigate the best path for my student. Looking forward to seeing all of her progress.

Sylvan Learning in Fayetteville was great for our son. The staff were professional, understanding and ensured our son’s needs were met. From the initial visit laying out their programs to the assessment, to regular progress meetings, they were thorough and on top of everything. I definitely recommend them to help your child(ren) get some extra one on one help with their academics.

They have really helped my daughter over the last year. She had fallen very behind and we had tried everything else we could think of. She is finally where she should be and now just has to work on staying on track. Their reward system is great as well as it keeps her focused and wanting to do well. She also really enjoys it and looks forward to it most days.

My son has been attending this Sylvan location twice a week for the past 3-4 months. He was less than thrilled to do any extra school work at first, but now he has his favorite instructors and really enjoys the instruction. I've seen an improvement in his math and reading skills and greater confidence in himself. I feel as though these teachers are truly concerned about my child. Sylvan is absolutely worth it. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers!

Sylvan has been a great and safe place for my daughter to gain confidence in her reading skills. The small group learning environment allows for plenty of one on one engagement between the tutor and the student. The monthly follow-ups also provide in-depth progress reports so I can stay in sync with my daughter and how I can continue to help her be successful at home. I highly recommend!

All of the teachers/tutors at Sylvan are amazing. They show great patience and care for ALL the students. One teacher in particular is Ms. Debbie! From the first day with her she has been nothing short of amazing. She fights hard for her students. There is never a time where she is “too busy” to lend a helping hand. Serenity would not be doing as well as she is without Sylvan. The teachers all deserve a job well down hug!
