Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy at this hospital is top notch!! Crystal is so knowledgeable when it comes to lymphedema and helps with my other conditions!! Amanda the Physical Therapist did amazing with my son when he came here, if she won’t have been talking with me about Crystal I would be lost with these health issues!! Way to go small town hospital, with big city knowledge!!

Dotti the Director of Nursing on the hospital side was very disrespectful and talked behind everyone’s back. I recently lost my father and had to miss a few days and when told, she basically said she didn’t care since it was more than a couple of months. Some of the nurses were rude. The HR lady was disrespectful and refused to answer any questions I had when asked. All around horrible place to work, or go to. Very thankful I no longer work there.

Local here, stay away from this hospital at all costs. They charge the maximum legal rate for every service, making healthcare unaffordable. I received multiple bills that were shockingly high. It's clear they prioritize profit over patient care. Do yourself a favor and find another place for your medical needs where they won't leave you financially devastated.

We switched over from another healthcare facility several years ago and have no regrets about switching to Syracuse Area Health. All of the members of my family have had great appointments with their health care providers and with their specialty clinics and physicians. The nurses have also been great to work with. I've always felt heard in my personal appointments. Their office staff and schedulers have gone out of their way to be kind and help us with scheduling. When we have billing questions, they have been able to answer them and help us.

They have top notch doctors here. Dr. Steckelberg literally saved my life a few years back. But their billing department is absolutely TERRIBLE! For over a year now they've been trying to bill me $1000 for a colonoscopy which was supposed to be covered 100% by my insurance. The insurance company keeps telling me that the hospital is billing it incorrectly, but the hospital doesn't seem to be able to do it right.

They can be trusted to be honest harsh or not. I was in the ER with some health concerns when my then DR kept brushing me off. They were open, honest and blunt with me which I needed. I have since switched care to one of their Doctors and will go to great lengths to go strictly to them. I know I can trust them, they have my best interests at heart and know when to be blunt and when to be gentle. It has increased my quality of life significantly and made me much happier.

I would give 0 stars but that’s not an option highly don’t recommend coming here for anything other than a doctors appointment. The new hospital is about as useful as bag of wet dog hair. Had to take my mom here yesterday and they shipped her to Hastings WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE UNTIL SHE WAS ALREADY THERE! She was in condition to make that call and they never involved my dad or myself in the decision now we don’t know how we are going to get home. I work a full time job and my dad can’t drive at the moment. So thanks to the dummy’s in charge we now have to figure something out.

I had a parking lot Covid test performed while passing through the area.

My employer covered my Covid test 100%. Unfortunately I was still billed as well.
As it turns out, this hospital submitted two claims. One for the Covid test, that I was reimbursed for. The other claim being an office visit with a physician that was obviously not covered by my employer.
This shady hospital charged me for a parking lot Covid test and then charged me again for an office visit that I never had. They considered the parking lot Covid test an office visit. Even though they already charged me for said parking lot Covid test. So they just submitted the same claim under another diagnostic code.

They were able to get money from my provider as well as out of my own pocket. Two for one.

Very disappointed. Will never use their services again and will spread the word to ensure that nobody that I know ever does either.
