Had a very bad education experience here. Some faculty focused on their own research and administration without coaching Ph.D. students. They did not care about doctoral students’ dissertation research. Didn’t respond to student’ emails, but provided bad comments that cannot be achieved. My advisor didn't respond to my e-mail regarding IRB for one semester. It was pending there. I just kept reading and developed the methodology all by my own.

There were also bad courses. For example, the statistics professor disappeared about half of the semester. We just listened to the podcasts and learned by ourselves. He only gave feedbacks to his assistant during the semester. He gave us bad grades two years later after we kept asking for these. His syllabus didn't specify how the grade will be determined. When I asked about my grade, he didn't clarify how he came up with it. He didn't take group assignments into consideration. My advisor said faculty enjoys the highest of academic freedom. However, I think some have abused it. It doesn't mean faculty doesn't shoulder the responsibility.

The ischool is a hidden gem on the Syracuse University campus, it combines the best aspects of business and technology together in it's undergrad major. It's like ice cream and chocolate sauce, great on their own, even better together. Come here to learn practical skills and be prepared for the real world better than anywhere else on the SU campus. I'm just about to graduate from the ischool with a degree in information management and technology. If you couldn't already tell I absolutely love it here and I'm sure that you will too. Woot woot!
