My daughter started very young with talent prep. They had very good instructors, she was able to learn to read at age 4. By the time she was in kindergarten, she was above her class level. And now that she is in first grade she is able to write a complete sentence without prompting. Talent Prep works with your child's ability and determine what pace is right for your child. They don't rush with learning, they use play learning to teach a child. I would highly recommend them because of the way they teach, and that my little girl likes going there.

My son had tutoring at Talent Prep in both Mandarin and Math for 3+ years. They also organized for him when he was 12 a customized 6 week summer trip to China staying with 3 local families in 3 different cities where he would be immersed in Mandarin 24/7.

I cannot say enough about Jessica and her tutors. Not only are they excellent educators but they are such kind and caring individuals and what they charge is so reasonable given the quality that they deliver.

The tutoring in Mandarin helped my son enormously get up to speed and to become proficient and their Math tutoring was very good as well.

I have zero reservations about Talent Prep and only good experiences.

Our son took G&T test prep classes here and we were very happy with the instruction. We've needed back-up care on short notice and Talent Prep has taken care of it - including pick up from a nearby school. Talent Prep also does in-home private Mandarin lessons. Rates are reasonable too!

My daughter has been taking the after school Mandarin classes twice a week and the G&T prep class. The staff are kind and professional, with a real sense of wanting the children to do well. Jessica who runs the program is super helpful and great at answering first time questions for parents. I highly recommend the school and it's really great to have them in the neighborhood.

I signed my child up for modified Stanford-Binet / Hunter College Elementary School Prep in spring 2020 but the class materials and lessons were so easy and so weak that I regretted choosing this tutor. After about 5 sessions, the pandemic hit and the city shut down schools but Talent Prep refused to refund the unused portion of the tuition paid, even as credits for future classes. They insisted on terrible, low-quality, pre-recorded videos to show to 4yo child as equivalence of live sessions instead of a refund. When we threatened to report them, they refunded only half of the tuition which was much less than the unused portion. This is why they discourage parents from using credit card payment by charging fees (harder to get a refund when using cash/bank account).

I ended up teaching my child by myself once or twice a week using the materials I found online instead of paying for another tutor (Talent Prep made me afraid of paying tutors in advance).

I just learned that my child is advancing to round 2. I want other parents to know before they got tricked like we did by a low quality “tutor”. Talent Prep is basically childcare/play date service at least for preschool age group (I don’t know about older kids) and really not much else was provided in my experience. You’re better off teaching your child by yourself. You know your child better than anyone and focusing on the areas that need improvement is better than sending a 4yo to a group play date at Talent Prep that little teaching happens.

Talent Prep has helped my son become more focused and attentive. I took the gifted and talented prep course and I love how much improvement I can see in my child. He is excited to do homework now!
