My wife and I recently got open water certified through The Dive Shop and it was an awesome experience! All of the staff were friendly and fun as well as very knowledgeable and patient. They are really working to build a positive community and we look forward to joining them on some future dives!

My husband and I just took the open water diving class with Kacy (and help from her fiancé Sean) and it was really fantastic. As a physician I appreciated Kacys intellectual approach to diving which she combines with lots of enthusiasm and passion for the sport. It was well organized, and a great value.

Logistically the shop is great! I didn’t know much about diving or certification so I just called and got set up same day. Kacy helped me get all lined up with gear for my honeymoon. Unlike other sports there was no gatekeeping or superiority here, just kindness and knowledge sharing!

Also Fiji the puppy visiting was a huge plus!

I recently took a scuba diving certification class at The Dive Shop, and I can’t recommend them enough! The class was well-structured, and they provided all the necessary materials to ensure we were well-prepared for safe diving.

Where The Dive Shop truly excels is in the actual diving experience. Over 20 years ago, I had taken an advanced scuba course and was certified. I expected this class to be a breeze, but during my first dive, I had some trouble breathing comfortably. It was not a pleasant experience, and I began to doubt whether I would continue with diving.

However, after taking an additional class, I met Mandy, one of the dive instructors. Mandy took the time to understand exactly what I was experiencing underwater. Her genuine concern for my success and tailored guidance made all the difference. She gave me specific actions to try, and they worked! What stood out most was that I never felt rushed. The focus on my comfort was key to regaining my confidence.

Mandy and Mac were the dive masters for my certification dive at the Crater. Mandy's clear and patient instructions helped me succeed. During the dive, Mac encouraged me to go to the bottom of the crater, which was optional. With Mac’s gentle nudge, I decided to trust him and go for it—and it was an incredible experience. Not only was the dive amazing, but the real victory was overcoming my previous struggles.

I was close to giving up on diving, but thanks to Mandy and Mac, I’m excited to continue. Many thanks to them and The Dive Shop for their dedication, professionalism, and support!

Many years I took classes and learned how to scuba dive by Bob who was the instructor at the time and who made sure we were competent with our equipment and diving skills.
A beautiful experience I still remember after all these years, and how exciting it was that he is still there. I recommend this location and now my 10 year old granddaughter will be learning scuba diving at this location.

I very reluctantly signed up for dive lessons due to peer pressure from my family. I had big concerns as I'm a heavy nose breather and to say I struggled my first time in the water is an understatement.

Our first time in the pool my Instructor, Kacy, asked the Dive Master, Mandy Jo, to help me out and get me comfortable while she was able to keep the class on track.

Mandy Jo was so patient and so kind. I imagine it had to be so frustrating dealing with me and my fears, but neither Kacy or Mandy Jo ever showed me any signs of frustration at all.

I decided to buy my own mask and Mac spent the time to help me find the mask with a great fit. Once in the water, I found that the one I picked, didn't work out as I expected. Mac allowed me to return it to the shop and buy a different mask that I really do love!

The entire shop celebrated my wins as I slowly made it through each skill. I felt completely safe in their hands and by my fourth time in the pool, I was a different person and felt so much more confident.

Now, I'm looking forward to my open water dives and am grateful I will be able to participate in some dives on an upcoming family trip.

I highly recommend this shop for your scuba diving lessons and gear needs!
