We have loved our experience at Goddard Somersett, and are so sad our five year old is nearing his last months prior to leaving for Kindergarten! Our experience in every classroom has been incredible, but specifically in Lime Green (pre-K), Miss Violetta has been an amazing influence. As we near kinder, the activities in class are very clearly prepping kids for learning in larger settings and with structured curriculum. Recent activities include addition using building blocks to visualize the numbers and total, one-on-one reading of "early reader" books which my child brings home and is excited to show his progress on, and building hypotheses prior to doing classroom experiments to understand the scientific method. They really go above and beyond to build an early foundation for elementary school and we're so thankful we have the support above and beyond just somewhere our child is safe through our workday. Additionally - Miss Violetta is incredibly encouraging, supportive, and ALWAYS has something positive and uplifting to say about my son's day. Despite challenging phases and behaviors with this age, I really cannot say enough how much we appreciate her ability to always encourage both parents and students. 🙂

The way the teachers in Lime Green are making learning fun and prepping my daughter for Kindergarten is above and beyond. My daughter is excited about school, largely because of the teachers enthusiasm, thoughtful programs and ability to challenge herself. Sadly, this is our last year at the school, as we to public, and we are immensely grateful for Goddard!

Our kids' teachers all care very much about our children and their education and well-being. The staff and owner are great at communicating with us. There are also frequent events at the school and in the community with school families that are great to attend. We love Goddard!

We feel incredibly blessed to have found this school for our daughter when we moved from Phoenix. Securing her spot here gave us a sense of security during a time of big transitions, and it was one of the most important pieces in making our move successful.

A huge part of that smooth transition is thanks to her incredible teachers. Miss Constance has been an absolute force in helping June acclimate—strong and steady, she has been such a reliable and supportive presence. June is honestly kind of obsessed with her! And then there is Miss Kailey, who brings this light and airy energy that keeps the kids feeling calm and safe, and it’s amazing to see how naturally she fosters that environment.

The love and care they both have for all the kids is so apparent, and their communication is excellent, which is so important as parents—we all want to know what’s happening with our children at school! And beyond the classroom, the administration runs things exceptionally well. The front office is responsive, organized, and made up of patient, dedicated individuals who truly care about the families they serve. Their level of professionalism makes a meaningful difference and creates a seamless experience for parents.

Another huge plus is how secure the campus is. As a parent, knowing my daughter is in a safe, enclosed environment gives me so much peace of mind. The school takes security seriously, and it’s clear that they’ve put thought and care into ensuring a safe space for the children.

And then there’s the outdoor space—the playgrounds have the most extraordinary view of the mountains and the kids get to spend so much time outside doing fun activities like obstacle courses, soccer, and free play. We get tons of photos of them enjoying the fresh air, which is something we really appreciate!

Most importantly, my daughter is excited to go to school every day. She absolutely loves her teachers and her friends, which, as a parent, is all I could ever ask for.

None of this would be possible without Denise, whose vision and dedication have created such an extraordinary place. It’s clear that she has poured her heart into building a school that not only provides an excellent education but also fosters a warm, supportive community where children truly thrive.

We couldn’t ask for a better place for our daughter to learn and grow!

My daughter loves coming to school everyday. Knowing she gets to go see her teachers and ladies up in the office is how I get her out of the house most mornings. Their attention to detail and constant communication is nothing short of amazing. I cannot recommend Goddard School enough to our friends with children!
