I had applied for my child to get enrolled into think together since August, she has been waitlisted since August, I’ve had no luck with anyone getting back to me on anything. I either I’ve to call, text or email to get no response for weeks. I spoke to one of the higher ups and they I told me by the ended of winter break she would be the first one to get enrolled. It’s now February and I haven’t been reached out by Natalie, Maple Elementary, site coordinator.

The zero communication and not getting back to parents is extremely frustrating.

I had a fun 12 months working for the organization met lots of great teachers and even had a librarian gift me a pokemon board game! Think Together was the best job I’ve ever had. If you are a sub you can book yourself assignments pretty much consistently throughout the month and week. Heads up as a sub you might get recognized EVERYWHERE. Good luck! And have fun 🙂

I am reading these reviews and I just had to come in and say something.

I worked for Think Together for 5 years in LA County. I absolutely loved it. Yes, I agree 100% that more training needs to happen. I was not prepared for my very first day at the school. NOT even a little bit.
BUT once I got the hang of it and found my routine and my style of awards and consequences down...I loved it, the school I worked for and the kids!! I worked with TK all the way to 6th grade students. They were awesome!! I read these comments/reviews of parents that had bad experiences with the program and I feel so bad. I know there's Program Leaders that are just there because they need money and should not work with kids!! BUT then there's Program Leaders like myself, who absolutely loved the work I did. MY class was always well-behaved. They followed the agreements, the routine I created for them. MY classroom was basically student-led, which was part of the program. We actually did homework and our enrichment curriculum was aligned with their teachers. I worked with their teachers to be sure that my lesson plan aligned with what they were learning in class. The clubs were fun. I understood that my kiddos had long days and they were going to have bad days at times, which is why I always wanted to make sure that my kiddos felt safe and comfortable in my class so that maybe their day got just a little better.

I also understood that my parents were tired from a long day at work and the last thing I wanted to do was give them more stress because little Sally didn't make good choices. Sally and I already talked about it when the behavior happened and it was corrected, so why go out and tell the parents every little thing. I treated my parents with respect. I treated those kids as if they were my own because that's how I would want my kids to be treated.

I am sorry to all the parents who had bad experiences because your kiddos deserve more.

This is one job I would gladly go back to in a heartbeat.

THINK TOGETHER PROGRAM LEADERS AND SITE COORDINATORS NEED MORE TRAINING!

I think it's funny the colton unified school district really thinks of this as a "learning program" that's laughable kids running crazy in a cafeteria until their parents can pick them up is not learning I'll give them kudos cause they have snacks one point thats it, the rest of the lot I've encountered is a non Communicative unlearned glorified baby sitters. think together needs to get it together

I want to warn everyone in the County of San Bernardino to not enroll your kids into the Think Together after school program. The young individuals that they have to help watch your children are very rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. I had my son’s after school teacher yelling in my son’s face and he is only seven years old of age. Further, the staff does not comply with the laws of confidentially. If your child is acting up and having a bad day, they will talk to you about the issues in the presence of other parents and their children standing around you. They have no respect to privacy. I watch my son’s after school teacher approach another parent to explain what their child had done and she even took it to another level of telling that parent and child that the other kids are bad and to chose his friends wisely. Keep in mind, this was an unnecessary comment to be made from a teacher to another parent and student about some else’s child. These children are elementary school age and they are still learning to grow and respect others. Also, if you approach the after school program coordinator such as Ms. D who is the coordinator for the site at Cypress School of the Arts, she is very rude when you try to point out things that are not okay. She also does not allow you to speak and over talks you. Make sure you are careful having your child attend this program at their school site.

Beware of your children joining this program after school, bc no one responds and no one cares, the staff at my child's elementary school uses foul language infront of fhe students constantly. No professionalism no respect and plain simple should not be working with minors. I have try to communicate with them several times calling and leaving messages and no one has responded to me about this concerns wouldn't surprise me something happens and comes out on the news regarding this people. Do not enroll your children in this program.

Mr. H (Humberto Quintana) and his staff are wonderful. The program was fun, inclusive & enriching. We are sad that Think Together will no longer be a part of our school's ASES program but we are very grateful for all the kindness, joy & enrichment Mr. H and his crew brought to our afternoons. Wishing them much success and many opportunities to keep teaching and brightening the afternoon's of others!

Uh...not great. All who you know, which is utter bologna; may be as aggressive in terms of your gender, race and religious views, that you never ascend.

Resources are being funneled to the higher-ups, and their downfall will be their greed.

The future, our children, would benefit more from the finances THINK TOGETHER receive, but Randy Barth and his immediate subordinates get all the money to live the way they WANT.

Ugh.
