Joe is an excellent and thorough guitar instructor. He begins from the ground up with ownership of the fundamentals of playing guitar. Joe also stresses the theory and scales behind everything you play. The comprehensive curriculum leaves me feeling not just like I'm learning to play the guitar, but like I'm learning to be a musician. I highly recommend Joe as a teacher and am very fortunate to have signed up for his lessons.

I had been in the market for a high end keyboard or affordable upright piano for about 6 months. I visited a lot of local piano shops, Guitar Center, Best Buy etc but couldn't find an instrument that seemed to meet my needs (keys felt realistic, didn't take up a lot of space, connect to Garage Band to save files). My last stop was Music Exchange, which had the most helpful sales staff by far. Gary assisted me in choosing a hybrid piano (Yahama NU1) that fit within my budget. He talked with me extensively to understand my current living situation (apartment with neighbors through the walls) and my musical needs.

My son has been taking piano lessons from Gyllian since he was six, he is now ten. It has been a very positive experience! The recitals are always entertaining and it's great to be able to see and hear the growth of the musicians. He has also taken drum lessons with Bill, who was a super teacher as well. All in all, I would recommend
