I enrolled my 3-year-old son at Tutor Time Daycare on 1/2/24 with high hopes for a nurturing environment. Unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of disappointing.

From the moment we stepped in, the teachers seemed impatient and unsympathetic towards my son's initial adjustment period. Instead of understanding that it was his first time in daycare and a common behavior for a child his age, they immediately started giving us grief about his yelling. Are they unfamiliar with the concept that 3-year-olds can occasionally be vocal?

Adding insult to injury, despite being assured that there would be an evaluation, my son was abruptly deemed unsuitable for the daycare without even being properly assessed. It's shocking how quickly they jumped to this conclusion without giving him a fair chance.

Moreover, on 1/8/24, upon picking up my son, I discovered that he had been left in a soiled diaper, resulting in a rash. The lack of basic care and communication about such a critical matter is unacceptable.

I was misled by positive feedback about Tutor Time, only to experience the complete opposite. This experience has been incredibly distressing for both my son and me. I plan to escalate this matter to the corporate level, as the quality of care provided at this daycare falls far below what was promised.

I strongly advise parents to reconsider enrolling their children at Tutor Time Daycare until they address these serious concerns and prioritize the well-being of the children in their care.

On another note, is the staff onsite certified to determine that upon their evaluation he is not suitable at their daycare?

My son has been enrolled since mid March and we’ve had nothing but great experiences. His teachers Adrianna and Marcela are so patient and communicative. And all the front desk staff are very helpful with any questions I might have. Shawna is also very helpful and a great director and quickly addresses any concerns or questions that arise .

This daycare facility is one of the best I have seen so far. It is very clean, secure and a fun environment for the kids.
The director Shawna has an amazing spirit, she will do whatever she can to help you and your child! She is responsive, very detailed and very passionate!
My very first tour visit I had the opportunity to have Tia as my tour guide, she knew every kid by name they were running in happy to see her and she greeted every child and parent with a welcoming smile!
I was hesitant about child care after visiting other facilities in Phoenix but this is the absolute best day care center that meets every need as a parent!

We had our 3 year old at this daycare for over 2 years. It was always under construction and valid learning spaces that were presented during the tour were always used as storage

On year 2 of enrollment there was a very bad mold smell in the classroom my daughter was being watched in. I had verified it with the teacher in the room, "wow it still smells in here". The teacher Tea in the classroom verified the smell at that point.

I then approached the manager at that time Shawna Davis, She first told me from her seat it didn't smell and it might be her lunch beef stroganough she was eating. I brushed off the joke and explained that the smell is in a room my daughter is staying in each day. She explained there was no smell again. I explained to her the smell has gotten worse after originally reporting to the teachers 2 weeks prior and verified by them. I just had verification by the person in the room Tea minutes before. I explained that we need to go back and smell it together.

We both then walked back to the classroom. We entered to a licale/arosal sprayed room that was bareley breathable. The kids were outside at that moment. The current teacher still Tea, the same teacher that had just acknowledged the smell to me claimed to the director the smell did not exist. I exited the room, very distraught being lied to within minutes by the teacher in the room. Being defeated by the same person/people lying about an established smell they had just acknowledged minutes ago and several days in weeks prior. I left fustrated.

Shawna and I walked to the front of the school and I mentioned that, "you may need Claritin if you don't smell anything." She claimed she didn't but I am welcome to take my daughter somewhere else for school.

Shawna made a point to stop me in the lobby and tell me in front of my 7 year old and 3 year old daughters that quote, "My approach "sucks" and I need to learn to apprach people properly" using those words in front of my kids. I walked out without saying a word and that was the last time we set foot into Tutor Time Arcadia.

My advise: Id look at the school more closely and talk to each teacher and the director if you plan to take your kids to any type of care.

TutorTime at Arcadia remains the best daycare we have put our children in. The teachers are attentive, and visibly show they care about the kids. Management are also wonderful - concerns are listened to, and most importantly, acted on. Shawna, the director has an open door for any parent.

Even after we moved, we were still doing the hour long round trip twice a day, everyday for a while because we didn't want to move them. We were here through height of the pandemic in 2020, and it was handled so well, and communication stayed constant. Sadly, we dis-enrolled our boys when the drive became too much, otherwise they would have stayed through to elementary.

Thank you to the team for taking such good care of our boys whilst we were there.

We absolutely love Tutor Time Arcadia. Shawna the Director is so kind and helpful. My son is in the 3 year old class room and his teachers are so hands on and involved. I love the consistency in the curriculum and classroom schedule while still including plenty of play and exploration time. They have an app you download to communicate with teachers and they upload multiple pictures of your child daily doing different activities in addition to their nap time. They even communicate what was eaten during the day. This place is worth every penny. My son is thriving at Tutor Time.

I would first like to start off by saying that we have been attending Tutor Time for the past 6 years, my family started entrusting our eldest child to them back in the early 2012’s. If you are looking for a quick review without all the details, just know that we loved them enough that our second child goes there now and we have never had a reason not to trust them.

When I first became a parent, I didn’t quite know what to expect, but I knew that I would do anything to keep my child safe. Picking through many of the other options we had in Arizona we started to become very discouraged, either non-professional, not clean, poor curriculums or overall that feeling in your gut that you wouldn’t want to leave your child there. That’s when a friend of ours referred us to Tutor Time, almost immediately upon arriving inside the facility we felt that this campus was already leagues above others we had looked at. In the end we chose to trust them with our kids and they have been very accommodating with both of my children and our family unit. Shawna and her team have always treated our family like part of their family. The teachers have always been professional and courteous, even kind enough to allow us to contact them on their days off to babysit our kids (much due to the asking of our children!) We have been through a couple different directors in our time there and we have never felt anything but love for our kids.

As with everything there is a downside though. My son, currently in Kindergarten, is currently being tested for SUSD’s gifted program due the preparations and teachings from Shawna and her staff. You read that right, the only downside I can say about this facility is that they made him too prepared for school!
In conclusion, we would not have chosen any other facility if we had the chance to do it all over again. We love the Tutor Time #6086 staff and their principles!
