I wasn't too sure about UCF prior to visiting... but it's absolutely gorgeous. They have so much to offer, and a good location, except it's pretty close to my own house, personally, which is the only thing I don't like. They architecture is gorgeous, and the traffic isn't too terrible, even on game days! There's a lot of options for things to do in the error as well as good educational options at the school, too, of course.

You let fraternities hit kids with cars as part of hazing and don't permanently expel them? They've been suspended eight times in less than 5 years, and had 4 incidents of felony hazing this year alone and just let it ride? How could any parent feel safe sending their kids here?

Went here today to find a out that the disc golf course is now closed and defunct. I thought the campus was beautiful, it seems well organized, but it is massive. I did see some construction as others have mentioned, but it did not hinder traffic at all. This is a great place for a walk if you like to be surrounded by lots of people.

After completing everything other prerequisite classes for my major, ive been requested to retake a class because i got a 79.7% instead of an 80% final grade. My father has malignant cancer which is the reasoning for the decline in academic grades, they have no exceptions for anyone no matter the cause so the problem is now i cant take a single primary core major course as i was .3% short in one class. Thank you UCF for basically making me waste 3 months of my life and a class worth of income as well as sacrificing a semester worth of scholarships because of a minor inconvenience.

Being an online student is so difficult, I’m going on weeks calling and emailing and they don’t pick up or respond , every course in the graduate program you get accepted into is locked and requires pre-requisites that you cannot take , because they are not in your graduate catalog. And the system doesn’t allow registration.

It’s a nightmare, in addition some of the staff forces you to take exams in a physical school, for the online course you take while enrolled in an online program….

When first enrolling you get a false sense that they will be available to assist you since you’re online . Once you’re accepted you will never hear another humans voice again.

Specially the Aerospace Engineering department, I have half a masters completed and I can’t proceed , I can’t register , I can’t talk or communicate with a human being , I’ve wasted a year and have nothing to show , can’t do much with half a graduate degree.

Their admissions office only accepts course-by-course evaluations from two specific companies. It raises questions about why they favor these particular companies over many other qualified options. Is there a legitimate reason for this exclusivity, or does it hint at something less transparent? This policy feels unfair and leaves room for speculation about potential conflicts of interest.

Nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone! Looking to register for online programs and the automated system “doesnt understand “ and hangs up. Does not send me to the operator either.

Do I like going to school here? Yes and no. I did end up enjoying a majority of my classes, but from a computer science major, nearly every single professor I've had has been insanely bad and disorganized.

The parking is horrendous. There isn't enough, and half the time it's blocked off for some unknown reason only UCF knows. Considering that, they've decided to increase parking prices even though we barely CAN park.

Safety here is kind of a joke. I lived on-campus for my first summer semester here and it was okay, but anyone could walk up to your dorm. Additionally, a few weeks to a month ago, there was someone on campus with a gun. I feel like UCF reacted terribly in that situation. I was riding the bus, where it happened and I had gotten off maybe 10 minutes before a notification was finally let out. I was completely unaware and most other people I talked with on campus were as well.

This goes hand in hand with parking and security/safety; If it's unknown to you, a student had died around a year or two ago because of speeding in the parking garage. They've only just now started adding some cameras, but there is still heavy speeding.

If you're going here, get a dashcam, you'll thank me later when someone ends up hitting your car because of their inability to drive and/or park within lines.

There is a lot to do around the area, but please note that the area isn't the safest either. Just be cautious when necessary.
