I have never been treated so poorly by doctors and a resident who is not yet a doctor in my life.

I was transferred here after having a bad fall and experiencing the worst pain in my life where my fusion is.

It started with the ER doctor, Dr. Vogel forced me to stand even though I was not able to. Then Dr. Vogel got mad when I fell to the floor and accused me of throwing myself to the floor. Then she got mad when I advocated for myself after she tried diagnosing my off of a picture. When I said you couldn't tell me how I feel, and a picture sure does not know how I feel or the pain I am in. Dr. Vogel got mad and left, bringing back several other staff members, including a resident, without asking my permission if he could be in the room. The residents name is Kumar. Kumar immediately attacked me about my pain and then attacked me about my pain contract. Making assumptions, he does know. He does not know me or the relationship I have with my doctors that I see monthly. Because I advocated for myself, he is trying to get me kicked out of my pain management contract. Mind you, I never once asked for pain medication. I only wanted help, understanding, and compassion for my pain and injury. I was under the impression that was what doctors and soon to be doctor residents were supposed to give. I did not receive any of this except for the nurse Lisa. She was amazing. The doctors and wanna be doctors could take a page from her book. This is shameful what our health care system has become. They want to be paid millions but don't want to do the work that earns them this pay. We ate just cash cows to the health care system.

In short, I am speaking out. I will not be a victim of these few people who pass judgment without knowing anything about you. Please go anywhere else but here. These people will treat you the same way, and I don't want to see anyone treated this way. Go anywhere but here. I am one person, but I have over a million views as a Google contributor and have never given a bad review unless it was deserved. Please share this information and go somewhere where you will be treated like a human who deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, respect, and true care from professionals who truly care.

If I could give zero stars I would. This hospital isn’t worth even one star in my opinion. Not only is Dr. Sattur an incompetent doctor….. but now I’m back at this hospital where I seem to have a good neurosurgeon…. But I’m being left in so much pain I’m literally rocking back and forth and crying as I leave this review…. Please, please, if you have a medical need, choose another hospital. Because UNMC isn’t worth going to when they leave their patients to suffer….

I was so very lost and GPS was no help at all. After being lost for 45 minutes, I called the girls at the front desk in Radiology and God bless them they guided my turn by turn to get there. Then at the entrance, another wonderful woman walked me through the maze to the radiation department. What a great bunch of Gals!

You know, I had really high hopes of seeing one of your drs since all I usually see are CHI providers. I waited months for this visit and sent years of my medical records to prepare for the appointment. Only for this provider to tell me he couldn't help me. And referred me back to my psych dr. I am tired of being looked at as a psych patient because I have anxiety etc. I feel labeled. Nebraska med is supposed to be so good, takes months to years to even get referrals to be seen only to be disappointed. No one takes insomnia seriously and it is very sad.

Very disappointed in care provided. Nursing seems sorely under staffed. Although they frequently have cell phone in hand. Communication between staff (doctors and nursing staff)is lacking. Communication of providers and patients is insufficient. Facility is dirty dusty and run down. And should we talk about HIPPA....nothing to talk about....it doesn't exist there. Hep locks do not get flushed even after several days....negligent much? Showers/bed baths not offered to patient even after 3 days in-house. Are they trying for some nosocomial infections?

The ER was really full and when I told them I was leaving, they laughed at me. No compassion. Very disappointing.

Left someone who was in a car accident in the waiting room for 3 hours even after they told them how much pain they was in covered in bruises and torn clothes just to go back after people who checked in an hour after we did then have to sit in a hallway but there putting other people in rooms this hospital is a joke if your in a life and death situation take the extra 30 mins and go to a better hospital you’ll die waiting for help here and you’ll do it in a dirty hallway
