As a student of UNR my tuition allows me to have free services to a point but what is the point of going there if they can not give out doctor's notes? Was I not seen by actual doctor? Did they not prescribe me medication for my illness? Are they even licensed? I went to this clinic because as a college student I do not have extra money lying around so I thought I could save some money for going here. The doctor (Nyhan Elena) had no idea what I had but she said it was a virus that was going around and prescribe me medication for my severe cough. The doctor was amazing, she even said if I was not feeling well by my next classes she would write a note or something to help prove my illness and therefore lack of attendance. Anyway once I finally start feeling better I am trying to get my life re-organized and I realize I never contacted the doctor to ask for another note. I tried my patient portable, oh sorry you can only receive messages not send them. Okay fine so I called. I informed the front desk lady of the situation and they said we do not give out doctors notes. Um, okay I speak t this doctor and she said she is willing to help me out. We do not give out doctors notes. Okay so then what are my options to fix this missed class because I was told I would get one. The only way is if you came BACK to the clinic got seen AGAIN and then we would have given you a receipt like we did they first you came in. Well that doesn't help me now does it unless you have a time machine? So I asked if I could contact the doctor I saw personally, the only way I would communicate with that doctor again is if I MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT and then try and request her not even knowing if I could see her again. So moral of the story, go to actual urgent care or your primary doctor because apparently this clinic with REAL DOCTORS are not allowed to give doctors note to sick patients. As a student whose $3,000+ tuition allows me to go to the clinic for free I should be at least able to get a dang doctors note.

The Student Health Center is a great resource for UNR students. It provides quick and efficient access physicians and providers a reduced cost! I was able to make a same day appointment something which is non-existent in the community. They even have a free STI clinic! The front desk were very helpful in scheduling my future appointments and answering my questions. Strongly recommend this resource to my fellow classmates.

Very rude staff. The nurse I was assigned to didn’t care for any of my health problems and used rude verbal gestures. I will however say that the Doctor was kind and that is why I gave from a 1 to a 2 star.

Got there quick in and everything, got thru quick check and leave. Have been about 4 times. Kinda wish they didn’t close the same time as the post office but what do I know.

I like how they are well priced for lab tests esp cuz insurance can be tricky. They do see you and do the general checks.

Careful, if it seems minor tho they may gloss over it. Make sure you self advocate my peeps, otherwise I am afraid I can’t see how any of the benefits they do have can get to you
It depends on which doc or nurse sees you, some have been swell
Twice that I’ve been again I wish they took my health to more consideration, hence the change from 4* to 2*.

Front staff is rude. Doctors are so incompetent and arrogant. I wish they asked themselves why they work here. They promised one thing then just ignored you. If you die? Oh too bad… we didn’t think it was necessary at the times. I’m done trusting them.
First messing up with my insurance for 3 months, didn’t do anything about it until I escalated to the top. Really tuition money?
Second, I was admitted to the emergency room, reluctantly claimed them as my primary Bt I didn’t establish with anyone so I had to follow up w them. They truly suck.
If you can avoid, please avoid them and go elsewhere. Such a shame.

I've gone here probably more than 20 times over the last 4 years and never had a bad experience. I'm bummed that they no longer have a pharmacy next door but it's made a great Covid testing place. I wouldn't go here for any sort of severe illness that may require a specialist but for usual things they've been great.

I agreed to a service (std test) and go to front desk to pay they said nothing to charge you for. Weeks later get a hold on my account for it when before those tests go through and get charged right away they refused to lift the hold on my account
