My granddaughter was the target of bullying here. Nothing was done to help her. Most of the teachers are on their phones not watching the children. After several incidents of bullying, along with an ER visit and in the end her being hit with a clipboard and having her eye brow sliced open I had to pull her from this daycare. Nothing was done about the bullying. My granddaughter is 3 and shouldn't be afraid to go to school! Why was the other child running around with the teachers clipboard? They are not toys! Again lack of teachers paying attention! I would not recommend this daycare to anyone!

i cant attest to how this place is today, however i lived in the “hospital” unit of vac in the 70s. i also went to school at vac well living there. i remember the pool it’s where i terrifyingly learned to swim. school was fine as well as programs they had for physical therapy. i remember they had a zip line out back that i loved. with that being said i have to say i’m 53 years old and still have awful ,abusive memories from this place. sadly i went through abuse every day i lived there and the trauma has left me with a lifetime of issues to live with. i remember the play room and begging the volunteer grandparents to take me home with them. it looks like the hospital unit is no longer these days and that’s most likely a blessing. i was a child than and i think back on vac with a lot of curiosity about why it was the way it was and did people who brought there kids there realize how bad they treated the kids or even what kind of training did the staff go through to work there. i guess i was basically left with much ptsd from the place. hopefully it’s a better place now but the reviews still don’t look great. 😕😕😕

My child thrived at first. Then, after months of being there, was target and labeled as a horrible kid because the new teacher in his class treated him unkindly and was constantly instigating bad behaviors. My child has come home and told me some very unsettling things that happened to him. They have a horrible amount of staff turn over and have a hard time keeping staff. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

Hands down the best daycare I have encountered. All of the teachers and staff are kind, engaging, caring and dedicated to the little ones they teach and care for. I never felt nervous leaving my little one there, and she never fussed when I left. Would definitely utilize them in the future if the need arises.

Would avoid this place. Kids are constantly coming home sick and management is terrible causing burnt out staff who are incredibly careless with the children.

This review isn't directed towards the teaching portion, but rather the Mitchell Therapy Pool. My daughter had wanted her birthday party there for awhile and with her birthday approaching I called several times for some information on renting the pool, it took over a week for someone to call me back making it pretty close to the date of the party. My husband called to confirm once they did return me call, and asked if he could put a deposit down over the phone. They said they couldn't take card payments over the phone and that we would have to come in to put down a payment. That was fine, but Everytime my husband went down to put down a payment and pay for it they were closed before the time they stated on the numerous voicemails they left me. It was constant phone tag from different numbers each time and never getting any answers. Then the day of the party comes and we call to see when someone would be there so we could decorate, the lady that answered said someone should be along within 10 minutes to let us in. Not 5 minutes after that someone else called saying they hadn't scheduled anyone to work because they hadn't received their cash only payment of $180 (even though their door states a different price) so it was out of their hands. My daughter is hysterical, my husband is trying to figure out why they would just cancel after all the messages left saying we were unable to reach anyone to pay, and that we would gladly bring it in the morning of the party if we were still unable to get in touch with an employee. Needless to say the complete disfunction and lack of organization on their part ruined my daughters party. Thankfully a hotel was able to accommodate a large group of kids hoping to go swimming at the VERY last minute so our daughter could have a nice party for her 10th birthday. I will never deal with these people again.

This is a great daycare run like a school. They have a really hood environment. Vac also has a pool available to the children and to the public on weekends.
