We boarded our cat with Viva-Volunteers at least 3 times already, and we're ready to do it again when needed!
They took very good care of our cat, and the other cats for adoption seemed very well taken care of as well.
All the volunteers we met were very nice people!

If you’re going to volunteer here I suggest that you rethink it if you want to give up every weekend you have. If you miss one weekend you are thought of ā€œnot dedicatedā€ and suggested to go elsewhere. I took a break for winter break to enjoy it so that I wouldn’t think about school and have time for myself , and when I came back one of the older lady volunteers who is like the boss was talking negative about me with a other volunteer, acting like I couldn’t hear her. If you’re thinking of getting community service hours, get them else where. Don’t get me wrong the cats are very well treated, healthy, etc, but the volunteers are treated poorly.

We got two great cats from Viva. You do need to email them to setup an appointment for cat visitations; no walk-ins anymore. Most of the negative posts here are from people who want to let their cats be outdoor cats. VIVA has a no sale policy, and I don't blame them, for people who want them to be outdoor cats.

Don't get me wrong it's a great place for the cats but if your a human trying to give them your cat or even if you found a cat and your giving it to them, you will get nothing but sarcastic remarks, attitude, and them being passive aggressive. I sadly had to give up my two babies and the woman that was there was nothing but rude. But like I said for cats it's a dream.

My experience with one of the volunteers was less than pleasant. Unfortunately my beloved cat has been missing and I’m doing all I can to stay positive, and also take fliers around to the local shelters. When dropping off one of my fliers I had one of the most disgusting interactions with the rotund older female volunteer. She asked where I lived and I told her. Her response was something I was never expecting to hear. ā€œOh, you might as well expect him to be someone’s dinner. And he should’ve never been outside.ā€ Obviously I’m heartbroken... I can’t sleep, and I’ve been crying non stop since he’s been missing. I’ve had nothing but positive interactions with other shelters/vet offices offering me hope. But not here.... I’m disgusted by this woman’s remarks. YOU DO NOT TELL SOMEONE THEIR BELOVED COMPANION IS DEAD! This lady needs some serious elocution lessons on how to interact with people. I’m only giving this place 3 stars because I love cats. If it were up to me I would have her removed/fired. I will be letting everyone I know how I was treated.
