Waterworks Pasadena has been an absolute blessing for our family! My son has been taking swimming classes there for nearly a year, and the progress he's made is remarkable. His instructor, Mia, deserves special recognition—she's patient, encouraging, and truly connects with the children while teaching them important water skills.

Last month, we hosted our 6-year-old's birthday party at Waterworks, and it exceeded all expectations! The children were absolutely thrilled, with many leaving and declaring it "the best party ever." The lifeguard staff was exceptional—professional and vigilant while still being playful and engaging with the kids. They created the perfect balance of fun and safety.

I must also commend Nancy, our event planner, who made the entire process stress-free. Her helpfulness, timely responses, and attention to detail ensured our party ran smoothly from start to finish.

If you're considering swimming lessons or looking for a unique birthday venue that children will love, Waterworks Pasadena is absolutely worth it. The facility is clean, the staff is outstanding, and the memories you'll create are priceless. We couldn't be happier with our experiences here!

I absolutely love Waterworks! We first started with the parent & me classes which is when the parent actually enters the pool with your toddler or younger. This is a great bonding experience for me and my son and it was a great intro for him to the pool. After we went to a number of these classes, we realized it was probably beneficial for him to move up and do some solo one-on-one training with an instructor. We chose. Giselle randomly but she turned out to be a perfect fit for my son. She is been patient and very understanding and gives him the space and time that he needs to feel confident and safe in the water. He has learned so much in the few months that he's been attending that I am amazed. He will be swimming on his own in no time.

Disappointing Experience with Lifeguard Lojo at Pasadena Aquatics

I usually don’t write reviews, but after two frustrating experiences at Pasadena Aquatics, I feel compelled to share. My 3-year-old son, Dominic, loves coming here, even though it’s quite a drive for us from Covina. Unfortunately, our visits have been ruined by one particular lifeguard, Lojo.

The first incident happened when my son was playing in the pool with his small baby shark toy—something he always brings and has never been an issue with any of the other lifeguards. However, when Lojo took over, he immediately told my son he couldn’t have the toy and made him give it up, leaving him in tears. I was confused since this had never been a problem before. After complaining to the front desk, a manager called me later and assured me it was fine for my son to bring his toy. I thought the issue was resolved.

Fast forward to today, and the same thing happens again. I asked the lifeguard on duty before Lojo if my son could use his small turtle floating device, and he had no issue with it. But once Lojo took over, he made my son give it up and even threw it into the big pool. My son was once again confused and crying. When I went to the front desk to complain, I saw Lojo smirking at me, which felt completely unprofessional and disrespectful. The manager on duty apologized and said he was just doing his job, but why is he the only one enforcing these so-called rules? Other kids had toys, yet he only seemed to target my son.

This inconsistency, along with Lojo’s attitude, makes it clear that we are not welcome here. It’s a shame because my son loves the water, but we won’t be coming back. If you’re looking for a family-friendly place where your child won’t be singled out, I’d think twice before coming here.

We've been with pasadena water works for several years now and they've provided solid swim lessons to my kiddos. We love working w Yudit and Brian. They r the best of the best! They are compassionate and enthusiastic about teaching my kiddos. Also shout out to CJ from front desk for exceptional customer service and support. WW should make extra effort to keep these exceptional individuals on board. They make the long drive to WW worth it.

I can't say enough good things about Waterworks. My son gas been taking lessons since he was 3 months old!! Started with parent and me and then move to semi private. We paused for 6 months during 2020 and then came back for semi private. We had different teachers and we loved them. Eventually my son stick with Mr. Cody and we have been with him ever since 2020. My son is 4 years old and he can swim independently by himself! He's water safe too. I love the facility has long lanes for me to do lape swimming too. So usually my son takes lesson I'll be right next lane swimming 😄. Not all gym has good lape swimming lane to do turns and etc.

We have been going to Waterworks in Pasadena for more than 4 years. In that time I have called their customer service line for various questions and assistance countless times. In all those years I have never had a negative experience with their customer service!!

I am not hyper-critical but I am observant, so I notice areas that could possibly improve. I have not yet had an experience where I could mention anything. They are simply amazing! Always positive and customer centered!!

Today I spoke with Marcia and I had to mention that to her. I wanted to also post so others can know what a great job they always do!!

Whatever you're doing, keep it up!!! Shout out to all the agents/employees I have spoken with! I have to sigh that I can't make it 10 stars.

LOVE Waterworks. My kids love their teachers, and on day 1, I could see their swimming really improve (we were at Rose Bowl Aquatics previously).

The facility is family-friendly, with multiple changing rooms, showers, and changing pads.

Parking is a bit intense on Saturday mornings. I've found Sunday afternoons to be the easiest times.

THANK YOU Waterworks!
