This center is such a positive experience for my daughter that I don't even know where to begin! When she first started last year, I was nervous because she barely had interactions with other kids and she was always at home with me or my parents. But those fears went away once I learned just how friendly and accommodating the staff and management are! My daughter has made friends, she loves her teacher, and she's learning and thriving in more ways than one! She's always so happy to attend and I'm so happy to see her that way! I've seen firsthand how much the kids love the staff and it's just so heartwarming ā¤ļø Please keep doing what you're doing! Thank you so much!

The world of discovery has been an amazing experience for me and my two little ones! The management and staff are a great team and always take the time to interact and bond with each child! The teachers are more than willing to work with parents on what works best for their children. Each class participates in the same detailed curriculum and my kids have learned and benefited from it heavily! I always feel at peace that my children are loved, cared for, and learning something everyday!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! All three of my kids attended( one is still enrolled) and I couldn’t think of anywhere else for them to be! As full time working parents, we wanted our kids to be somewhere that felt like home since we knew that would spend some much time there, and that’s what World of Discovery is. The staff is always attentive to the children and their needs and they always address our concerns, if any occur. They are always so happy to see all
Of the kids when they arrive and make each child feel special. The management staff are always so friendly and tou can tell how much they love the kids and how invested they are in their centers. They use an app which is so awesome for daily communication and to be able to see what your child is doing while they are away from you. My kids were and are always happy when they get to school and sad to leave! My youngest has learned SO much thanks to the structured program that they run and the curriculum that they implement. My middle child had some behavior struggles and her teacher, the Director, and the owner addressed them in an appropriate and professional manner. They never made us feel that our child was a burden they only wanted to help and make suggestions for how to help her be successful. Now that she is in public school, she is THRIVING and we have WOD to thank for that! Choosing a childcare center is never easy for a parent but when we found WOD, we knew that we had found a second family and a second home for our kids!

I cannot in good conscience recommend this daycare. From the very beginning, my son was constantly moved between different classrooms, and I had no idea where to pick up his belongings at the end of the day. When I addressed my concerns with the director, she initially dismissed them, claiming the changes only happened at the end of the day. After I corrected her by explaining that his teacher told me he was being moved throughout the day, she quickly backpedaled, saying they had to adjust due to "staffing ratios." When I asked if they were experiencing staffing issues, she just laughed.

I felt like my son was singled out from the start. His behavior was frequently flagged as an issue, and while I understood that some of his actions might have been challenging, I was always puzzled because he never acted this way at home. I worked with them for months, trying to accommodate their requests, including asking if he could stay in the same class for more structure. This request was not met, again citing staffing problems.

The worst part came when they told me that if I didn't get him evaluated, we would be kicked out. I immediately took him to the doctor, who confirmed that his behavior was age-appropriate. It was disheartening to hear other parents at pick-up or drop-off mention that their children were also undergoing behavior therapy, which made me question whether the real issue was with the daycare itself, not the children.

As a former early childhood educator, I’m particularly disappointed with the lack of qualified staff. Many of the teachers seemed ill-equipped to manage the needs of young children. There was even a time when I was told my son "lacked impulse control." He’s three! That’s exactly what early childhood education should be helping children learn.

I was volunteering at a soup kitchen with work and got a message that my son was being disruptive and I need to pick him up. I couldn't pick him up immediately, because I did not have my vehicle. When I asked if we could work something out until I could arrange transportation, as he was not harming anyone or himself just being "disruptive". I was told that I needed to come immediately. I found someone to pick up my son and when they arrived, my son's belongings were already packed, and I was called "disgusting" for the way I spoke to them on the phone. I can assure you I was nothing more than a stressed out mom who was unsure how I would pick-up my son. This ended up being a blessing in disguise because I was able to find a new preschool, where my son has been thriving. The teachers there recognize his behavior as normal for his age, and I no longer worry about receiving negative messages every time I get a notification from an app.

The bottom line is that this daycare, unfortunately, fosters a toxic environment. The director and owner seem more interested in manipulating parents into questioning their own decisions than providing quality care for children. I’m grateful my son is now in a much better place and thriving, but I hope others can avoid the frustrating and upsetting experience we had.

I’m sure this review will be met with a snarky or dismissive reply, as I’ve seen in response to other reviews. However, I want to be clear: everything I’ve shared here is based on my firsthand experience and is entirely factual. My intent is not to attack, but to provide an honest account of the challenges we faced.

Very scary to read the negative reviews and see the exact responses I had received while my child attended this daycare.

The review responses from your daycare are disturbing. A mom leaves a review never giving out a child’s name but yet it is listed in your response?

Lauren O’grady writes a review as if she is a parent of a child/ children attending this daycare facility…. She is one of the DIRECTORS? A lovely response to her review thanking her for the positive feedback? Again very disturbing.

It seems that it is always about what your child had done wrong and pointing the finger but never really given a full in depth reason why. Also could never provide video footage. Even after my daughter had told me that her teacher Ethan had grabbed/twisted her arm.

I was always told wow thank you so much for understanding because many other parents are extremely defensive, which is also very disturbing and I feel completely awful that I had been fooled by these two inexperienced directors.

My child is now thriving at her new daycare and is no longer being sent home everyday like she had been at your facility, as this would cause a ā€œroutineā€ and would not help her in anyway as her psychiatrist had said which had been highly recommended by your facility. I was promised by your facility a list/ date of any issues they had been concerned about that I could present to my child’s psychiatrist/pediatrician….. never received.

Prior to my daughter being seen by a psychiatrist another director Holly rudely stated ā€œthis is exactly why I had told you it is important your daughter sees a psychiatrist nowā€.

Rather then point the finger at the child and parents maybe take a step back and see the actual problem at your facility. Ever think of the constant changes such as teachers leaving, that would cause a huge change in a toddler but maybe your facility needs more complex and skilled directors rather then blaming innocent children. Big eye opener seeing your child was not the only one kicked out for being an innocent normal child. I’m so glad you have come to the point where even the directors are so desperate to get your reviews back up.

It is disappointing to have to leave a negative review for a child care facility. My grandson attended this facility and was met with wildly unrealistic expectations by the staff. There was regular and constant turnover of the staff and he was shuffled from teacher to teacher and room to room due to ever changing ratio and staff issues. Children need structure and clearly this school cannot provide that.

These children are learning how to behave in the world and not all children are perfect, boys in particular. It is unfortunate that this school didn't have enough staff and the right staff to guide my grandson and provide him with a positive learning experience.

I hope that the owner will take this constructive criticism to heart and make changes or at least hear the concerns people have with her center. So much is riding on early childhood experiences and these experiences are the ones that guide them through the rest of their education.

If I could leave a 0 stars I would. My family knew them and if my papa was still alive he would be very disappointed in them. They kicked both my kids out for pretty much not being perfect. Little kids nor is anyone perfect. This is supposed to be a place for them to learn the good behaviors not just at home. Once they deem a kid not ā€œperfectā€ they single them out and constantly contact the parents and they start to neglect the kids.
My youngest who is now 1.5 was bit right through his cheek at less than 6 months old and scratched which left a scar going down his forehead. They would single him out and make him out to be a bad child I understand kids scratch and bite and go through those phases that’s why you teach them. I wasn’t mad another kid bit him bcuz I know he would hit too it’s what kids do you just gotta stop them. They would leave him in the eating chairs all alone to watch the other kids play almost all day and would say he was having a bad day. LIKE YEAH I WOULD BE MAD TOO!!! It was so heartbreaking to see my son go through that at 1 years old.
My oldest was obviously left unattended when he was able to exit the building and into the parking lot when he was there a few years ago. And that was their last straw with him? Why was he able to get outside in the first place? Where was the teacher?! My oldest was also singled out and made to be a bad kid and all they wanted was to have him labeled as ā€œspecial needsā€ when he’s not special needs he’s just a kid who wants to play. How are you gonna make a 3 year old sit for hours that’s torture and not right! They are meant to learn social development and behavioral norms and learn to regulate. I understand my son could throw some tantrums but look at how he was neglected and treated I would lose my shit too.
I have also seen the tall dark haired lady get very mad at a little girl for wetting herself and was practically yelling at her and rolled her eyes trying to get the little girl in. Kids wet themselves there’s no need to get mad. They shouldn’t be open. I had talked to a few of the good staff left and they were about ready to quit because of how management is and how it’s horrible seeing kids treated the way they are. These kids deserve so much more and for the owner to sit here commenting on everyone’s stuff airing out everyone’s business you’re pathetic and you guys need to be shut down.
As soon as both my kids were in a new place they called this place crazy because everything they said about my kids never happened at this new place. My kids are thriving where they are and I have never been called because my child has been ā€œdisruptiveā€ or acting out. My oldest is usually the first to listen to what his teachers say. My youngest even HUGS all his new teachers when he leaves at the end of the day. I’m so glad they don’t go to this toxic place anymore.
