WriteGirl is an amazing and supportive event for the girls who attend. It's also the best volunteer training I've ever received. I feel my skills are well used in supporting the girls being mentored in their writing journey.

Such an inspiring organization that gathers women writers and teen girls together every month! An amazing group of dedicated volunteers mentor teen girls to amplify their voices and reinforce that their stories matter. Being a WriteGirl volunteer has been transformative. I have learned so much from fellow mentors and from the mentees. It is remarkable to watch the girls' confidence grow within each event and across a season. The most incredible thing? 100% of the teen girls in the core mentoring program go to college! Huge kudos to the dedicated volunteers and staff of the education support team.

I can't speak highly enough of how well run WriteGirl is. The team is full of life and joy, they have literally the most professional and engaging Zoom sessions I have ever been in, and the number of alumni who come back to speak about their positive experiences of being WriteGirl mentees speaks volumes about how supportive and engaging the community really is. Such a wonderful organization.

My daughter participated in this program. She was always excited to go and to hear from her mentor. We loved seeing her spoken word in print. Writing helped her focus, which contributed to her college experience in numerous ways.

I've been in WriteGirl since the 8th grade and their program really got me to fall in love with writing. Without WriteGirl I wouldn't know how to use the voice I have and all the different forms of writing they have exposed me to. This non-profit organization is filled with beautiful, diverse girls that inspire, write, and dream big!

As a previous WriteGirl mentee, I absolutely love this organization and the care WriteGirl puts into providing the best for their girls. I loved every writing workshop I attended, as it gave me the chance to meet real diverse women who shared a passion for writing. They also helped me write my personal statement for college. Go WriteGirl!
