My child got kicked out of this childcare center when he was in foster care. I would pick him up frequently and on multiple occasions his "teacher" would lie to me about what my child had done that day just to get him in trouble, and ultimately lead to him getting kicked out. He was a child that was dealing with small behavioral problems as a typical 3 year old who transitioned from being with mommy full time to having to adjust to being with strangers he was just getting to know for a period of time who are now a huge part of our lives because they are the sweetest and most loving people alive. I'm disappointed in this center and I have never gotten over it, so I've decided to leave a review so other parents know the lack of empathy this place truly has. My child was not a violent child, but I am warning you, they have very little willingness to deal with any children that may be a little more wild then the other children. They have no understanding and they literally lied to my face on several occasions. My child never felt the need to lie to me, and when I asked if what they were trying to say one day actually happened, he promised me it didn't. I already felt she was being dishonest, and when I seen my child's reaction when he answered my question when I asked if he did it, I knew for a fact he was being honest. She said my son kicked her in the pregnant stomach, which I promise you my son isn't violent. Eventually that teachers special disliking of my child, got him unfairly kicked out, and they did a great job at making my child feel like a "bad kid/bad boy" . This child care center should be sued on several occasions for so many reasons. Thanks for reading my review. I hope if you decide on this center, you have a better experience then I did. I'll never tell anyone to take their children here! Ever!

This review is long overdue...
We have had the pleasure of utilizing Young America for childcare over the last 3 or so years, having left once only to return. We travel from Emmett, and work in Emmett, but find this facility to be ideal for our children. Why? Well, because they request it. My son who is almost aged out of daycare but whom I believe still too young to stay home all day is adamant about this being the only place he will return.
Nothing is a better testament to the quality of this daycare than their low turn over rate- in all the time we've been there every single young lady we've come to know by name is still there. This is huge!
The owner takes a personal interest in both of my children, and is a soft place for them to land. We are so pleased with Young America and feel so grateful to have them as a resource. Definitely recommend.

I have had my son in a couple different child care facilities and he never has like them that much until I found this place. He's excited every morning to go to school the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. My son is on a restricted diet and they have absolutely no problems accommodating him. Even though my son is not at actual school age yet they have a curriculum that they work with him on. If anybody is looking for a good loving child care provider that is competitively priced I recommend checking these girls out. If the wife and I decide to have another child they will definitely go to this daycare.

My wife and I took/take both of our boys here. Fantastic facilities but it’s the culture of the place that we love the most. They’ve taken really good care of my kids and the one who currently attends loves it there. He comes home asking where all his teachers are, it’s awesome. He always loves going that drop off is never difficult and talks about his teachers when I tell him he’s going. As student, now teacher along with my s/o being a nurse, they work with us and our always changing schedules. We could not recommend Young America enough.

I cannot say enough good things about Young America! Jenn is amazing & is there every single day. She’s one of the only daycare owners I have ever witnessed be so actively involved in their center. She isn’t just the owner, she also does the bus runs & is very involved in the classrooms. She is constantly getting the kids new things for their classrooms to make their environment more engaging and fun. The center also does monthly date nights & some sleep overs too for less than what we would be paying our regular babysitter! We love it and love that our kids are so comfortable there. My oldest son was super quiet and wasn’t talking very much, but after just a few months of being there he has completely blossomed. He’s very outgoing and talkative now. My youngest son had never been in daycare before and has thankfully adjusted really well too. He is learning to play nice with others and has been building his vocabulary in the 2s room. He is a little younger, but we all felt he was developmentally ready to move up and I’m so thankful they have my son’s best interest at heart. My boys adore their teachers. My oldest son always tells me about the fun art projects they got to do for the day and always tells me he “had fun with his teachers”. Every single day, he comes home with something positive to say and can’t wait to go back. The staff genuinely cares about your kids and I feel so much better knowing they’re in good hands. I also appreciate the open communication between the teachers and my husband and I. My kids will never go anywhere else!

My children attended Young America for a total of 9 days before they were removed from the facility. My son (4) stated he saw a teacher spit in a child’s face. My daughter (1) came home with welted bites marks twice (only 1 was I notified of) and a black eye that no one can explain. They have zero system for notifying you of injuries and when I asked about them, they were brushed off. I reach out to the owner in hopes to just come up with a better system for the injuries. My concerns were disregarded and I was told my daughter “didn’t have a black eye” one day after she was sent home with one. They brushed my concerns aside and told me that the teacher “never left the room and never even got a lunch” the day she received her black eye and if it happened she “didn’t cry” which I find hard to believe. My daughter has been removed from their care for 5 weeks and we are still dealing with some PTSD from her time at the daycare. If you care to be notified of your children’s injuries, I do not recommend.

As a parent, I entrust my greatest blessing to the staff at Young America every day, and I am grateful for the loving care and guidance she receives. The teachers, director and assistant director look at each child as an individual, with their own strengths and needs. My daughter has been blessed with awesome teachers who understand her challenges while going through her terrible two's, and handle her with grace. My daughter is learning so much from potty training to sharing, her colors and alphabet, to using soft hands and the importance of being kind. Jenn who is the owner and director truly treats us like family and has been there for me and my children through some very rough times! My son also attended Young America and is now a teenager, so we have been at this center for many years!

The center itself is large, bright and clearly cared for very well! I have toured other centers and I can truly say Young America is above par; the classrooms are filled with age appropriate toys and equipment, the play ground has rubber bark and not the wooden bark, there are many times in the warmer months that a jump house is brought in for the kids to play, I believe they even have a ballet class come in as an extra activity and I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to sign up for that! I appreciate that they follow their illness policies and guidelines and even though it's a struggle for me to find other care if she comes down with a fever or a stomach bug, it's important to protect all of the children and staff from passing on germs! When my son attended and was in the preschool and school age classroom their breaks consisted of awesome field trips such as swimming at the YMCA, going to the many museums around the Valley, attending open gym, and even activities in the center such as cooking lessons and craft days!

I just want to give a special thanks to Jenn and her staff; they continue to do amazing works of "heart" with all of the children in their care! If your looking for a center for your children, defiantly take the time to tour Young America and see what they have to offer!
