We are very happy with IEA. As a military family we have moved from state to state. After moving to FL we were very unhappy with the public school system. Someone recommended IEA to us. My son went from being shut down & not wanting to do anything or speak, to making friends for the first time. The staff works hard to help the students one on one. The public school said our son would only graduate with a certificate of completion because of his disability. Thanks to IEA our son graduated this year with a regular diploma.
Our other son now attends IEA and is happy, making friends, and excelling in school.

Worse school ever if you child is low functioning and needs an aide. The owner is a great guy however I don’t think he understands that his school is not equipped to handle low functioning kids with autism. My son’s teacher STRESSED me the entire time we were at Interactive. She complained about the most minute things, made up stuff about my son who couldn’t defend himself, complained about the aides if she didn’t like them, complained when the aides didn’t show up, complained about OT and even got into my son’s face. Because of her behavior, most aides did not want to accompany my child to school. Perhaps the most frustrating thing was the lack of a fitting curriculum at my son’s level. They had none! When I asked, she complained that she was spending too much time helping. It then became a battle between the Aba aide and the teacher on who was to teach my child. I was left in the middle helpless with my child. The school knew my child was low functioning and they had absolutely no issues cashing his almost $18k McKay check yet they provided no education. It was a gloried day care that was at times unsafe. I got tired of complaining to the then administrator and took my child out. We’ve been to many schools in the area and this is the worst school by far. I am still traumatized two years later. It may work for ADHD or high functioning but definitely not low functioning.

PS: To whoever just responded to my review, check your records before asking why this is being raised 2 years ago. At least 3 separate meetings were held to address every issue I posted here. You can contact your former administrator if you don't believe me. This shows how little you know about the issues going on in your classroom. Don't tempt me because I have a paper trail of every conversation. Parents don't post publicly unless they have to.
