Sonia is an extraordinary art teacher who is skilled in a vast variety of mediums. She is a consummate charcoal artist, a gifted painter, a great pastel artist and skilled with textiles and all kinds of materials and techniques. She encourages each student to stretch their abilities and achieve their best. She also has advanced computer skills and can blend and alter photos to create any image her students envision. Sonia is also kind and fun and great to be with. She is a gift in my life.

A wonderful space for the arts to collide and create new worlds for everyone interested in art and creativity, connections and making community. This place has many exhibition spaces, an art school and an art residency program. I love this place, you can meet amazing artists here and share your work through the amazing eye of the curators.

OUR COMMUNITY'S VITAL ART SPACE
Hidden behind an office building in Doral is a unique community -really a family - of outstanding Artists in Residence, of spacious light-filled gallery spaces, a performance arts theater, and a school where resident artists teach concepts and techniques using the same principles established in the Florence art academy founded in 1543.
This is Miami International Fine Arts, MiFa for short. The artists' work ranges from painting to sculpture to jewelry making to installations, to an acting company's performances in both Spanish and English, with regular exhibitions featuring both resident artists and rising stars.
Under the Creative Direction of Marco Curidad, a celebrated Venezuelan-American artist grounded in both the arts and business, this singular achievement refelects the generosity of Dorals business leaders and the brightest lights of Miami's warm and welcoming art world.
